Hot on the heels of a somber opening for the swan season of "The Sopranos", also debuting last night was the higher energy ensemble comedy-drama "Entourage" featuring Vince, Ari and al the boys. If you are unfamiliar with HBO's "Entourage," it is essentially executive producer Mark Wahlberg's past life fictionalized and blown up with a rich cast of characters.

"Entourage" is back with a brand new episode kicking off part 2 of the 3rd season. The show is a testosterone dream of the lives of the beautiful and famous in Hollywood.
This season kicks with the divorce between agent Ari and superstar Vince becoming even more complicated with Vince's new manager Amanda (Carla Gugino) wanting him to do a period film.
Meanwhile, Ari is trying to cope sans his guys, and with assistant Lloyd's help Ari meets Vince and dangles the holy grail of "Medellin" in front of Vince.
Drama, my favorite character, is excited about his new TV show yet obsesses that he still is not getting recognized properly.
Turtle is cooking up a birthday party and the lightbulb of product sponsorship goes off, just call him Paris Hilton. He wrangles Victoria's Secret and SKYY Vodka to foot the fete bill for Vince's bash.
The series is a keeper for sure, and its energy and fast paced banter is a nice balance for the seemingly pensive and dark "Sopranos" that precedes it. I love both series, and am wondering how HBO will fill the void of their long running shows that are disappearing.
Showtime network seems to be catching up by taking plays out of HBO's rule book, layering cool and interesting series over each other to gain viewership.
Where is Al Swearengen and Titus Pullo when you really need them?
