Simon Cowell's '60 Minutes' of fame
By Stone Martindale Mar 15, 2007, 18:12 GMT
CBS is cagily conducting a Simon Cowell interview on their long running and skewed for an older demographic "60 Minutes", ostensibly not to promote FOX but leach some of that Idol mojo for ratings.
CBS and Anderson Cooper will interview the controversial Brit judge from the biggest, most successful show in the industry right now.
Cowell will be profiled by Anderson Cooper this Sunday, March 18, at 7 p.m. ET/PT.
CBS reports that Cowell discusses criticism he’s received from the music industry, his wealth and value to Sony/BMG, the recording company he works for, and the appeal of "American Idol."
Despite claims of his cruel commentary, in the 60 Minutes segment, CBS reports "he actually has the tables turned on him when a group of judges critique him doing something he is passionate about."

I have offically seen it all this guy has the balls to say 'I sell more records than Springsteen' as an answer to that I will have to go with no... no... and no. The people you sighn to your lable collectively sell more records than Springsteen not a single one alone sells more than he has. That said he is takeing indirect credit for those singers skills and as an effect sales. If you read between the line what he is realy trying to say is that he is more socially relevent and diserving our collective praise. What a load of BS. I am sure that Bruce passes gas with more talent this guy can muster over the entire course of his life time. Maybe he and Trump can have a contest to see who is the best a self agrandizeing themselves but the room would have to be pretty big just to fit there egos in there.
