"The View" chief doyenne Barbara Walters isn't letting past fractious riffs with Rosie O'Donnell interfere with business as usual, according to ABC insiders.

"Rosie is going to get her own show - but it's too late to do a show for September 2007, so she will re-up for one more year at 'The View' and then do her own show that debuts in September 2008," Page Six reports.

ABC will keep O'Donnell at the network. "She revived a 10-year-old show that was on its last legs," said one Page Six insider.

O'Donnell has allegedly added 75,000 viewers a week since she came to the group last September, bombastic feuds with Donald Trump, Walters and even American Idol's Nigel Lythgoe have brought ratings.

An alleged fly in the ABC ointment was brought to light: "She [Rosie] wants ['The View' executive producer] Bill Geddie out. They hate each other. She'll stay if he leaves," said Page Six's snitch.

Rosie's rep issued a statement: "Nothing has been decided regarding her plans."

Abbie Schiller, a rep for "The View" and ABC, said to Page Six, "There is not one detail of this that is accurate."

Rosie will leave in Sept 2008Mar 13th, 2007 - 07:52:12

Then I will resume watching 'The View'. They had so many great 'possible' hosts after Meredith and Starr left...I don't even think Rosie was one of them, but Barbara has her own weaknesses in chosing characters...no Rosie is not the 'new leader of 'The View''.

I used to like Rosie, she used to be lovable and sweet. I guess thats how she got that title 'queen of nice' But something happened to her, she's all negative, and puts people down all the time. I suppose it could be her envolvement in politics.
