Oh, let it go. This is a non-story.
Crikey - what's next? Are we going to make the players wear rectangular cotswalds so that the profile of their male appendages won't be apparent in a close up shot? Or perhaps we should have Falwell and Robertson expound religious dirges from their filthy mouths as a half time band hammers out a jazzy rendition of 'Shall we gather at the River'.......
Criticize this: we have a neophyte president who has just asked for additional funding for an illegal police action in the Middle East that makes the Vietnam conflict look like a field exercise, We are on the brink of a global environmental catastrophe the likes of which hasn't been seen in 12 or 13 thousand years, we have scores of issues from the wealthiest to the poorest of households that go uncorrected and people are afraid that Prince's guitar shadow may have looked like a penis? Is there something just slightly awry here? Look at your big toe - phallic symbol. Look at a lipstick tube - phallic symbol. The shadow of the Popes sandwich on the Vatican lunchroom wall with the sun slightly behind and to the right -- phallic symbol.
Get me the heck out of here! Has anyone seen America the free, home of the brave, land of the Pilgrim's pride? If you find it, let me know - I'd like to live there!

I thought the performance was rather tame for a Prince show. It could have been much worse than simply shadow puppets
Seems like the critics are the ones with the filthy minds....the rest of us enjoyed the artist and his music for the entertainment provided. Prince put on the best half time show I have ever seen.
Sorry guys, but let's be honest here -- that totally looked like he was strokin his dong. It was funny, and I and everyone else at my party pointed it out. We didn't follow up our observations with demands for censorship or censure of Prince, but those of you who don't think it looked like his unit are a.) dense and unobservant; b.) lying; or c.) of a such prinstine mind that it's a shock you're even posting on the filthy, filthy internet.
To the author of the post a few entries above this, why are you talking about Bush, Jerry Falwell, and Vietnam? Aren't we talking about whether Prince and his guitar had a raging hard-on for rock during the halftime show of the Superbowl? Let me put things in perspective. I brought up these issues to show how ridiculously pale this obsession with halftime hoopla is in comparison to the REAL problems facing America today. Within the scope of the article, I think my post was relevant. Obviously, it went a bit over your heads...
I won't use this blog to engage in diatribe about these issues unless it helps me to make a point. So you don't like what I say -- don't read it if it offends you. But, like you, I have a right to say these things, a right guaranteed by the fundamental tenets of our constitution. You can disagree with me, but you cannot and will not quiet me. Shut up, indeed!
Incidentally, the name calling is quite inappropriate. You've both shown your colors on that demerit alone. Please don't participate in these discussions unless you can do so with a modicum of intelligence, objectivity, and respect.
