Kristanna Loken has ended her run on the Showtime series "The L Word" - telling producers of lesbian TV drama she won't be back for another season because she tired of her castmates, reports contactmusic.com.
Advocate magazine cover girl Kristanna Loken was the sexy star of Terminator 3 who recently alluded to the Advocate via an interview she was involved with her equally sexy "BloodRayne" costar Michelle Rodriguez.
Loken, 27, has a recurring role as lover of Shane (Katherine Moennig) on Showtime’s The L Word this season. The out lesbian admits she enjoyed having a same-sex relationship on the show, but the all female cast was a little too much for her.
She says, "It's an entire show of women and the amount of egos and insecurities and cattiness that can go with a bunch of women - that's what you get. "It attracts certain people that want to do something different in their career, but the girls were tough. "Sometimes you wonder if they've bit off more than they can chew."

the prevoius poster called her homophobic, but she is a lesbian...
naah, she doesn't convince me, as far as the lesbian thing goes. mark my words.
on another note, there might be some truth in her comments. but i think this is partly a shout out for publicity.
It's quite easy be homophobic if you are lesbian or gay. Many people are. They despise themsleves and what they are and try to hurt those they see are the same.
You get straight women doing the same thing to other straight women.
Loken? Meh - plenty of other actresses out there. I smell crass publicity stunt.
Seems like every other cast member or guest star has said the opposite. I think some of cast even room together during shooting. And they are always spotted in LA hanging out with each other. My theory... Her character was cut, and she wanted to make it sound like she left of her own accord. Petty. Kinda wish I hadn't read this till after the season. Makes me dislike her character before she's even really been introduced.
shes bi not a dyke
Man I think her character sucks anyway, so I'm just glad she's leaving. I've also heard that the cast in general gets along unusually well, so from this I deduce that she either stirred up trouble herself, or as someone else said she's trying to mask the fact that her crappy acting of her crappy character got cut from the show. Thank God.
I was so closed to like Kristinna...but now...
I think she is very frustrated because she did not made a good impression too many…even me.
Well she is hot physically but it isn't enough to get the attention...and mine to watch her in the show anymore…as much as I watch all the rest of crew…maybe she found out that she is not so wanted at press conferences, events etc as much as their cast mates are…so she envies the girls...and think about she was Kate’s partner during the rest of season 4..so ungrateful...
Maybe this would be a lesson for Ilene to get back Sarah in the show...with one condition: to be Kate’s partner again, and get married...
This would be really nice.. and I would love to forget the fact that Kristinna was part of the show...So ungrateful!!!
too bad! she is the hottest girl on that show right now! guess i'm gonna have to catch her on the big screen.
I actually liked her. It might be because she's gorgeous but either way. I'm not really blaming her for not wanting to come back. You can't like everybody and you can't always be liked. I'm guessing that was the case with Kristanna and the Cast. I am going to miss her character though.
It sounds as though she had problems fitting in with such a well established group and perhaps felt threatened by what she perceived as 'competition'. The cast has some formidable actresses, Jennifer Beals and Leisha Hailey are superb in their roles and I would imagine that she expected to share the same reverence and popularity by default, not appreciating that respect has to be earned and cannot be taken for granted. She has done herself no favours by criticising her co-actors and it looks like jealousy and sour grapes. Undoubtedly cliques will have been formed in the three seasons preceeding her and it must have been quite a challenge being the newcomer but she should have left with more dignity and avoided resorting to such spiteful remarks.
Kristanna is BI and also has a Lesbian sister who she is very close to. She is definitely NOT HOMOPHOBIC! I think maybe it was just the other women on the set. I don't think it was a publicity move at all. She is an amazing woman and I am very happy to know her.

Ms. Loken wins the Most Sexist Comment award for today. It's amazing that someone as young as she is can hold such outdated, stereotypical views of women. I think her own homophobia and insecurities as an actor are what's driving such dumb comments. Oh well, who needs her on the show anyway? I'm sure she can be easily replaced---there are lots of beautiful women in Hollywood who would love the gig.
