Derek Jacobi cast in 'Doctor Who'

Actor Sir Derek Jacobi, known to American audiences as the BBC's I Claudius among his notable roles, has been confirmed to play a role in the third Doctor Who series.
It is alleged Jacobi would play a character called The Professor in the new "Who" series that returns to the TV screens in Spring.
Showbizspy.com reports Jacobi previously appeared as renegade Timelord, The Master in an online version of Doctor Who
The Daily Mirror has said this time he will play a "good guy" who plays "a key role in preventing the world from ending."
Actress Freema Agyeman will play the Doctor's new companion Martha Jones, following Billie Piper's departure last year.
