"The Naked Trucker & T-Bones Show," which premiered on Comedy Central, should not be compared to the “Blue Collar Comedy” series.

"Naked" features the country comic nuttiness of David Koechner, "Champ" from Anchorman, and David "Gruber" Allen, who has appeared on numerous television shows, including the cult hit "Freaks and Geeks."
More a country acid trip, with a dash of Down home Dada described by Joe Rhodes of the New York Times as “Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas meets a Red Sovine trucking song." The two lead stars share a love Monty Python, the Marx Brothers and the improv-based anarchy of “SCTV,” according to Rhodes.
“The Naked Trucker & T Bones Show” structure plays homage to The Smothers Brothers Variety show of yesteryear, with onstage banter and weekly “Hitchhiker of the Week” bits featuring guest stars like pal Will Ferrell and a guy in a bear suit, and an odd musical number, emphasis on "odd."
The show is smart social satire disguised in a veil of Oscar Meyer bologna, Velveeta and Mayo sandwich on Wonder bread, with a Peyote chaser and a cold Budweiser.
Comedy Central is banking the hokey haute hybrid will appeal to the baseball cap wearing "Git'er done" crowd and the urbane "Truthiness" devotees of Stewart and Colbert.
