Rosie is the one who is dysfunctional. I haven't watched the View since
she arrived on the scene and won't watch it until she is gone. If ratings
require a shock jock like Rosie and her sewer mouth then that is a sad
commentary on the viewing public and another fairly decent show will bite
the dust.

For goodness sake, Rosie is a comedian. She only said what so many of us out here believe about people who cheat on their wives and ultimately, their families, and who continually trade in the old wife for a younger, newer model. There has never been any secret about Rosie's outspokeness; it is what we expect from her. Barbara, in all of her wisdom, had to be aware that Rosie is not some mealy-mouthed individual who would skirt an issue that had made the news. I am incensed with how vile the words were that Trump spewed. I am also incesed with Barbara's lack of loyalty.

I used to be an 'Apprentice' fan but decided that Donald Trump's ego and sense of entittlement and sexist logic was a bit much for me. First, he attacks Martha Stewart, then, Rosie. Seems he has a problem with powerful women. If he doesn't have money problems, why is he so sue happy? Donald should just stick to bullying the people whose paychecks he writes. New Yorkers I know are sick of hearing from and about him.

Rosie is a mess and should have never been allowed on the show. She is definately not an addition to the show. Since being on the show she has had not only Donald Trump call her on her comments, but she has also had Kelly Ripa call her in reference to her comments. I believed in free speech, however, Rosie has no right to comment on anything unless she has the full story or knows the whole situation. I think Rosie should end her stay at the view. Add a new talent and let it go from there. With Rosie, the ratings may be up now, only because people are hooked on the back and forth nonsense, but once this is all over the ratings will go down. I have sympathy for the other co-hosts because they have to endure all of this negative feedback from the audience.

I agree with Bette. I never really enjoyed the View before Rosie. I since have added TIVO to make sure I don't miss the show. Rosie is a good person. She means well and people seem to have problems with the fact that she may have a different opinion. She is passionate about so many topics. And most importantly she is funny. The show as well as life would be boring if everyone had the same view. I like all 4 ladies on the show. Kudos to Elizabeth, who politically we are opposite, but she argues her view with such intelligence. They are all different. I feel like I am having lunch with four girl friends. Regarding Donald Trump; first I like him, he is a character, and most importantly his children seem to love him. His critics would claim it is because of their mothers, but please he loves them and has made sure along with their mothers that they suceed. I admire that first and foremost. His public relations people must be having a difficult time sleeping. He has been cruel, which I think was unkind and unwise. How do you spin this odd behavior? It is odd, my son is in high school and his buddies think Donald is funny. That is the point I guess, it has become so high school,

The VIEW has become a vehicle to show case our times.

We cater to the lowest common denominator

We do what sells...

We work for ratings...

We back stab as necessary...

Barbara Walters did not get where she is by being nice. However she hides that other side rather well.

Rosie does not have too much 'class' but that is what the audience wants anyway...Jerry Springer and Maury Povich's shows are was beyond embarrassments.
Yet they are successful (I suppose)..

For me the biggest surprise was/is the 'stuff' coming out of The Donald's mouth. I haven't heard such stuff since I got into an argument with a 13 year old male friend...that was over 50 years ago...

What happened to morals, class, privacy....'as we sow so shall we reap'...the future is frightening!!!

And when will we have to stop hearing about it. Rosie is NOT a good addition to the VIEW and I didn't believe that she would be before she even appeared on the show. I don't watch it anymore either just like Julianna. The other women on the show exhibit alot more class than Rosie who enjoys being crude and pretty much white trash.

The Donald is a sorry excuse for a businessman - who in their right mind would deal with him. The next thing you know he will be stamping his feet or rolling on the ground in a fit of temper like the 2-year-old he has patterned himself after. What a true jerk!!!! Granted, Rosie is loudmouthed, but she is funny and has some very good points on a lot of subjects - namely the poor excuse of a president we have right now. A lot of people have made fun of the Donald - what struck a nerve right now? ~ the need for publicity for his rediculous show?????

The way Rosie jumped on Walters is unforgiveable. She crossed the line. She has anger issues. She reminds me of the bully on the playground over 40 years ago.

I saw the way Rosie attacked Trump FIRST. It was funny, but I thought to myself that she's gone too far AGAIN. Her apologies on the show for all the other people she's upset have been shallow and patronizing.

I don't want to share my morning with this bully. The Price is Right or Regis and Kelly is a better choice now.

People grow tired of the 'oppression' and 'tough life' that Ro-Do has had to face since coming out of the kennel, I mean, closet. I'm not one for those forcing alternative life styles and viewpoints on others just because they feel marginalized. Tough luck. Deal with it. Rosie's daily controversies have been ratings gold for the show. For every person on here who says they don't watch anymore because of Rosie, there are two or three NEW viewers. TV is about money. Ratings = money. It's no use opining that Rosie is low-class or lowest-common denominator. She makes the studio and the network $$$ and they would be fools to let her go.

I have to echo this last comment. It is a testimony to our culture. Just a few years ago successful adults would not be caught dead carrying on like a bunch of kids in a public feud. Today they throw the decorum and integrity of their characters out the window in hopes to boost their ratings and feed their egos. Childish and embarassing describe it best to me.

Quit saying these people are 'good people.' If they are 'good people', then I don't know who is bad anymore.

I think most people in Donald Trump's position would have just laughed off Rosie's original comments...just downplayed the whole thing. Instead, he made a major issue out of it. Some say that this business started out as a publicity stunt for his latest season of 'The Apprentice', but I believe his really nasty comments have hurt him. Calling Rosie names has not made Trump look like a big man, but rather a very petty man.

I like Rosie. Yes, she's a little bit rough around the edges. But I like the fact that she's real. So many celebrities are not. I enjoy 'The View' much more now that Rosie is on it. Hope she stays with 'The View' for a long time to come.

Trump is a fool who inherited a ton of money and would like us all to think he earned it. His businesses have gone bankrupt in the past. His hair is horrid. Rosie was so funny that day on the View talking about how Trump has no right to be the moral compass for 20 year olds. I watched, laughed and forgot about it completely until I saw Trump on every TV station imaginable. He has really showed his true colors. He is like a 6th grader with the below the belt insults like 'she's fat' and 'her face is ugly.' First of all, her face is not ugly. She did nothing wrong but be hysterically funny. I used to watch the Apprentice and really had no strong feeling one way or the other about Trump. Now I despise him. I am offended by the position he has taken and his immature, rude behavior. All I can say is that Barbara is getting what she asked for when she hired Rosie, who could not even get a magazine off the ground because she was such a mess and couldn't get along with anyone. As for Barbara, she feels she needs an Emmy sitting on her shelf and she thought Rosie could deliver it. The women on the View are always whining that they never win an Emmy. Maybe if they spent less time bashing the president and say something productive for a change, they'd get one.

The Emmy is what it is all about. Barbara would do anything for an Emmy. I knew from Day One that Rosie wouldn't last long on the View. Her life is a mess.

As for Donald, he's the biggest opportunist in the history of mankind. He would exploit anything to get his pudgy face on the screen. If he allows Miss USA to pose for Playboy, you can kiss the pageant goodbye forever. Miss USA is the female equivalent of Eagle Scout. She is suppose to be a role model and little girls should wish to grow up like her. Put her in Playboy and one more role model bites the dust.

She has shown the utmost class by during this whole situation. She has maintained respectfull and unoffensive comments. When I watch the view now (because of Rosie) it's like having my good friend over for mid morning coffee. Two middle class people having open and candid conversations. Trump has been VULGAR, OFFENSIVE, INSULTING not only to Rosie but to millions of WOMEN! Trump is a self impressed blowhard. What has he done for charitable causes? Rosie is a caring bright, cultural woman who has added a great zest to the view. She loves and supports Broadway and has introduced the public to great talent. The show has become a must watch for me instead of a boring talk show about clothes and spas. She hass also brought out the best in her fellow panelists. How come we give Trump such a forum to air his nastiness? He has insulted all of us who are overweight and he has dishonored those who do not admire drinking and drugs by giving support to his beauty queen. He took a funny bit by Rosie and turned it into a major deal. Does anyone smell his need for PR for his boring self serving show that honors wealth instead of depth of character.

Rosie O'Donnell is as far from being the arbiter of social conscience as anyone I can think of. She is rude, crude, and socially unacceptable. She USED to be funny. But, ever since she came out of the closet, she has simply gotten more offensive, caustic, and ridiculous. Her behavior is just as bad as Trump's. Her magazine failed because of her offensive and violent behavior at their offices. She is nothing more than an angry child in a grown up body.
As for Trump, yes, he has an ego the size of Manhattan. You don't have to like him to respect what he has accomplished. No, he did NOT inherit his money. Anyone who has read his biography would know that. He created his own fortune - no small feat. And no, he has NOT gone bankrupt. He has come close, but both times, managed to pull himself out of it without having to take that step. THOSE are the facts about Trump. Whether you like him or not, he has every right to defend his accomplishments. And no, he doesn't have the right to call her names.

THE DONALD IS RIGHT, ROSIE DID START THIS SO TO SPEAK, BUT HIS HATEFUL RETORT AND THE WORDS HE USED WERE WAY BELOW HOW A PROFESSIONAL SHOULD REACT. HOW MANY OTHER COMEDIANS HAVE REMARKED ABOUT HIS HAIR - ALL THE LATE NIGHT HOSTS THAT I KNOW, AND AS FAR AS GIVING HIS LITTLE BEAUTY QUEEN ANOTHER CHANCE....ALSO TAKE THAT FOR WHAT IT IS. THESE GIRLS ARE NOT TO BE ADMIRED ANYMORE.........JUST IGNORE IT......IT ISN'T WORTH THE TIME..................

I will be happy to get Barbera, Rosie and Donald completely out of my view! Enough!
