Dead body found on C.S.I. NY set location

It turned out to be the mummified remains of an old tenant. Celeb blog Defamer.com speculated it could have been the “body of a forgotten production assistant who never returned from a curiously prolonged Starbucks run.” People magazine reports: “Though downtown Los Angeles was subbing for the streets of New York, the corpse was real, a source close to the show, adding that the remains were found on the 5th floor of the building - only two floors below the actors and film crew. The body, the production source tells People, "was discovered by a building engineer who checked on the tenant because he had not paid rent for the month."Life imitating art, or in their case, death imitates art as the show recently shot an episode revolving around the discovery of a mummified body.
