Angela Kinsey, star of "The Office," is pregnant with her first child and recently had a baby shower.

Angela's "Office" castmate Jenna Fischer, along with Kinsey's sister-in-law Susanne Daniels feted the petite comedy powerhouse - whose co-star Rainn Wilson noted to me was "like a little person (who) swallowed a watermelon. And everything about her looks exactly the same except she has this enormous tummy."

"I think all of her scenes from here on out are going to be staged with her behind the copy machine," producer and writer Greg Daniels added.

Kinsey has been blogging about her pregnancy, including her cravings for ice-cold Snickers bars. As her due date approaches, she still continues to work on the NBC sitcom.

Monsters and Critics spoke with the soon-to-be new mom about comedy and her role on "The Office."

Angela, are you happy that the strike is over and that The Office is back in production?

Angela: We are all so happy to be back at work. We always have a fun energy on the set but it was definitely a warm reunion when we all returned.

Since you are currently pregnant, is your production schedule any different than before your pregnancy?

Angela:  I have to take off time for doctor's appointments but other than that not really. Everyone in the cast and crew has been so supportive. I have a bunch of people getting me snacks all day long!

So you are being pampered by the cast and crew?

Angela:  That is a big yes. ;)

Will they be hiding your pregnancy on the show?

Angela:   Yes. When the strike ended I had just started my third trimester. I am too big to write into the story line now.

It would be like Angela Martin got super pregnant overnight!

If they DID write the pregnancy into the show, would be Dwight's baby or Andy's baby?

Angela:  I am going to guess Dwight's. I mean I think he is her true love. Some day she'll forgive him for killing Sprinkles and they'll live happily every after.

That is my hope anyway.

Tell me a bit about your Improv comedy work at IoWest.

Angela:  I have performed at I.O. West for years. It is a great place for long form improv. As an actor, I think that improv training is so important. It really teaches you to be in the moment with people.

It helps you to remember to listen and respond honestly. I still perform there every couple of months in a show called, Armando, on Monday nights! I hope I always can.

What was the funniest episode or best "The Office" moment for you?

Angela:  Wow.  This question is so tough. I have a new one almost every week. I love the Christmas episodes for my character.

She usually has a major melt down.

But one of my favorite moments for the cast was when Michael Scott pretended to be "Prison Mike".

We were all sitting in the conference room howling with laughter at Steve. I don't know how we got any usable takes of that scene! Someone laughed almost every time.

Who is (are) your favorite stand ups for live comedy?

Angela:  Well, I like stand ups that talk about their actual lives. Things that are real to them. I recently saw Louis C.K. at the Improv in West Hollywood. He was hilarious and all he was talking about was his wife and kids.

What is your favorite prop gewgaw on "Angela's" desk?

Angela:   Hmm. Michael Scott has the best props on his desk. He has a bunch of toys. Angela Martin has several cat figurines.

My favorite is this little bowl shaped as a cat. I usually keep little candies in it.
