By April MacIntyre Dec 23, 2010, 22:10 GMT

Monique Marvez is a stand-up, writer, and on-air talent who can be heard coast to coast on Sirius/XM.
The time is nigh for compiling all our end of year "best of" lists.
While Monsters & Critics editors are hashing over the stand-out television performances for the last year, we took time out to ask crazy smart and latinlicious comic Monique Marvez, one of comedy's most popular touring stand up acts, what her top ten list was for 2010.
Monique Marvez is a stand-up, writer, and on-air talent who can be heard coast-to-coast on Sirius/XM. Her Alma Award-nominated Showtime special, "The Original Latin Divas," can be seen On Demand or Hulu, and her first book will be finished soon (subtitled: What I learned when what I KNEW failed me).
Monique will be at the world famous comedy room, the Ice House in Pasadena, California on December 30th, then jets to her home turf of Cocoa Beach, Florida. on Friday the 7th followed with the Black Box Theatre in Ft. Pierce, Florida the next night. For details, visit her Facebook
Ms. Marvez wishes everyone a brilliant holiday season and lot's of love in '11!
Here are Monique Marvez's Top Ten "Gifts" for 2010:
10. My ex-husbands- mostly the last one.
Everything in a comedian’s life is a good time or material. Number three was a lot of material…My understanding of relationships grew exponentially as this puppy went straight in to the ground and I jumped off with less BELONGINGS and more belonging.
Best Line: “I met my boyfriend the old fashioned way; at work, while I was married.” (I was already separated).
9. Immigrants ...Legal and not so much.
Comedy also lives in the chaotic space between truth and agendas. I grew up in Miami and come from immigrants that paid lawyers and married gay beards to stay here.
Life after the flotilla of 1980 was tough; "Scarface" is not the gross exaggeration one would hope. Some aforementioned relatives have met many a little friend behind bars.
I say we start sending rednecks, crazy people and convicts to Mexico and start a real discussion when there is a NASCAR track around the pyramids and a more level playing field.
8. Jay Z- I love redemption, resurrection and reformation.
(see 10 and 9) This guy has made his life a hip-hop Dickens’ story and Empire State the work out song of the year! “Concrete Jungle where dreams are made of, there’s nothing you can’t do!!”
7. New Orleans

For still being here, winning the Super Bowl and having a supernatural hold on many an artist’s soul including mine. I love gifts you can only feel. Every time my cab hits the Qwuata’ I say a little praya’.
6. My Family
They are becoming less material and more of a good time!
5. Potpourri from Good Home Company
Found this little spot through a mutual friend in New York (concrete jungle where smells are made too). The chai smell has permeated my house and LIFE! LINK
4. Jesse James
I was not surprised by the infidelity. Really? You are essentially a biker dude in a custody battle with a drug addled porn star ex wife and you strayed?!
The GIFT was the quantity and quality of the women- FACE TATTS vs Oscar Winner (for the feel good movie of ’09 no less). I can say this because our beloved Ms. Bullock now has a real man she can count on!
3. Gloria Allred
For silencing Rachel Uchitel (who cares?) and unleashing the gaggle of skanks that Tiger knew he would grow tired of negotiating with just as he grew tired of letting them rub the “little Calloways”. And Tiger Woods end of ’09 beat down- His trying to control it all led to a better show than Bill Clinton’s “Blewinsky.” He is golfing again, good for him.
2. Brett Favre

Guys, think of your Johnson as a MONSTER. You do not open the movie with the monster. Also set him up to be ferocious! Remove Croc footwear when taking photos! Would the PREDATOR wear orange crocs?

1. Kyle Fitzgerald

My honey, partner and opening act. We live play and work together. We also do lot’s of cool stuff apart because he is not a dysfunctional, jealous, psycho... (see 10). This New Year’s Eve, he will open for me at a swanky country club gig and I will return the favor when we get home.
