Daniel Baldwin straight talks Dickinson, Speidi; the interview

If most viewers had seen Daniel as a hardworking average Joe, instead of a hardworking but overbearing and overly judgmental guy, they would have voted for him to stay and he'd still be on the show. Janice, as pathetic as she is, gets the votes because she brings the crazy and has an established fan base. For most of the others to get votes, though, they have to be that most basic of things - likable - and in that task, for many viewers, Daniel failed. In the forums where this show is actively discussed, the number of 'I can't stand Daniel' posts is behind only the 'I can't stand Janice' and 'I can't stand Speidi' ones. Keep in mind that Daniel was barely in camp at all when he was already proclaiming himself and his select three - all, coincidentally the macho older males in the camp and none as good at most of the challenges as the kid from American Idol - as the final four. While that kind of talk doesn't remotely rank up there with stealing, lying, urinating in camp, or repeatedly quitting and returning, it also isn't the kind of humble, endearing behavior that motivates people to actually want to dial a number and vote for you.

Janice stays on the show because she wins the gay and medicated-housewife vote. And the gays and medicated housewives are watching in droves. She's a self obsessed embarrassment and the only one losing in this situation is poor Sylvester Stallone, whom she willingly throws under the bus at every chance (maybe to prove that she did, indeed, once have some talent inside her?).

The spitting, the whining, the fighting, the stealing, the lying, the urinating, she's a toddler and deserves to be slapped across the face for the brat she is.

LDH.... sorry mate but you are dead wrong......

Daniel Baldwin got evicted because you vote for your FAVOURITE..... even the gay crowd, fashion prima donnas and bleeding heart crowd still voted for their FAVOURITE Janice and believe me it would have still been a small percentage of votes....

he was caught simply by not being a FAVOURITE of the veiwing audience..... he was 20 times more entertaining, useful, helpful, encouraging, FUNNY, mature than mostly everyone whether he was on for for a few days or since the first episode.... he made the show very watchable.... quite a character, especially when he got Stephen going

One of the ways the show gets revenue, even if it just covers operating costs, is by phoning or texting in your FAVOURITE.... you are allowed multiple calls and texts, i believe even as much as 10 times to call in your FAVOURITE.... it costs YOU MONEY each time you call or text..... thats a LOTTA revenue dude.....

now imagine if the rules were to vote for the person you think should be EVICTED each week.....

NOW that is a big difference in the structure both mathematiclly and from a revenue base..... its the same on AMERICAN IDOL ....

for example many people voted for say... Lou, Sanjya, Patti etc as there FAVOURITES, they probably voted multiple times to ensure their FAVOURITE goes through to the next week...... of say 200,000 thousand votes for Lou or say 150,000 votes for Patti or even 100,000 votes for Sanjya....

if you turned the vote around to the LEAST FAVOURITE to be EVICTED .....

how many of Lou's 200,000 votes would go towards Janice..... or Pattis 100,000 votes would be voted on evicting Janice how many votes would Torries fans go towards Janice as the one to be EVICTED.. They would also lose HUGE revenue under this format.... your not going to make nearly as many multiple calls for the one to be EVICTED as you are for your FAVOURITE.... There is a clear and obvious difference....

that is why you always have these huge upsets on AMERICAN IDOL from usually the final 10..... the producers arent stupid... there is reason why the vote structure is set up this way mate....

Daniel Baldwin will be missed.... he said out loud what we all were thinking at home .... especially about Janice, Heidi, and Spencer... but hey .... hes the odd man out!

i was so disappointed to see danny leave, him and steven are what made that show worth watching. we (my husband and me) where about to quit watchin it cause we where sooo sick of the 'spidie' stupidity but when baldwin squared came on we looked forward to seeing it. its gonna suck without him on there. and somebody pls have c4 commited she's psycotic and not in the fun way.
