Alex seems a very down to earth person which is refreshing in a tough industry of Television and Hollywood. Moonlight is a fantastic show where the 2 leads, Alex O'Loughin and Sophia Myles have great chemistry going on. It is easy to root for their relationship to develop! Good luck Alex!!! Here's hoping the show gets renewed real soon!

Great interview!! It's nice to know that Alex is so down to earth and so willing to grant an interview at the last moment.

I am a true fan of the show and Alex. I certainly hope the strike comes to an end shortly so we can have more Moonlight (and more MickBeth)!!!

Great interview, Lisa! It's such a great feeling knowing that Alex is such a genuinely nice, down-to-earth guy, that he's just as attractive on the inside as he is on the outside. Makes my appreciation of him as an actor and an individual grow by leaps and bounds.

I have a feeling that America is going to be hearing about Alex O'Loughlin for a very, very long time, as his career blossoms and flourishes.

Excellent article and interview! Thanks much! I'm really enjoying watching the way this show's story unfolds and the characters grow. It doesn't hurt at all that the main characters are all delightful and gorgeous to look at, not to mention skilled actors who clearly love what they're doing. I do hope sincerely that the writes' strike ends soon - especially for all those poorly affected by it, but also because I'd truly hate to see this show get lost in the scuffle. Let's hope CBS takes note of how much buzz this show and its cast and crew (including the marvelous writers, designers, effects staff, etc.) have created and allows them to come back after the strike! I'll be waiting!

It's been a long time since *anything* on network TV has intrigued me the way this show does.

A fine interview indeed. Alex seems to be very down to earth with a good handle on what it is that he wants and where he wants to go with his future. I hope he gets every opportunity to prove himself in the coming months.

I am so glad that Alex seems to have a good head on his shoulders. He will need it in Hollywood, especially as his star is on the rise. I am hoping that CBS renews Moonlight in the very near future, all this not knowing is giving me an ulcer. :-P Vampire Solidarity Rah Rah Rah!!!

A very well written and informative piece, Lisa Gerry. Thanks so much for this article. It is not often that one reads interviews from a fan perspective and it is wonderful to feel your passion and engagement in the subject matter. This is refreshing.

It's certainly nice to hear that Alex is a nice guy and that the fans of the show raised an impressive sum for a worthy cause. Moonlight is a great show and Moonlight fans well...they rox, in my opinion.

Cheers,
MCRox

What a wonderful article! I love to hear when actors (or singers) I like are just as nice as I imagine them to be. Alex was sweet to grant an interview at the last moment. I wish him all the best with Moonlight and any other projects he takes on. He's a marvelous actor with truckloads of talent. I guarantee we'll be seeing more of him in the future, no matter what. You can't hide a flame under a bushel.

Terrific article! Thanks Lisa for all you did!

Moonlight is my favorite show and I eagerly look forward to each episode on Friday nights. This long three week dry spell without Moonlight has been very tough! After working hard all week, Friday nights at 9:00pm is my hour for escaping into a fantasy world called Moonlight that sucks (pun intended)you into mystery, fantasy, suspense and romance with a little bit of humor thrown into boot!

That was a great opportunity to talk with Alex O'Loughlin and help out the kids for Christmas. He seems like a super nice guy with a strong sense of humor (I like that; life is too short to be serious all the time) and it would be awesome to be able to talk with him sometime. I think it would be very interesting to get to know Alex as he seems so much more light-hearted than the role he plays in Moonlight. The interviews definitely add insight into his personality. Alex, thanks for all you do and have sacrificed for us, the fans of Moonlight!

Certainly hope Moonlight is renewed by CBS soon AND the writer's strike ends ASAP! Remember to vote for Moonlight on the People's Choice Awards at pcavote.com! At the beginning of the voting, Moonlight was one of 12 shows up for the category and Moonlight is now in the final three!!! Remember you can vote once a day, so go vote for our favorite vamp show!!!

Vampire Solidarity! Rah! Rah! Rah!

What a great interview, Lisa! Thanks so much for sharing your time with Alex with the rest of us. Given Alex's enormous talent and grounded outlook, I have no doubt we'll be seeing much more of him in the years to come. But, for now, we just need more Moonlight! I continue to hope for a quick resolution to the strike, and a full season pickup from CBS.

Vampire solidarity, and all that...rah, rah!

Great interview! I love Moonlight and hope the strike ends soon so they can get back to shooting. I would hate to see the WGA strike end this shows chances for renewal prematurely.

I'm so happy that my adoration and respect for this man is apparently well deserved. He seems to be such a down-to-earth and very nice man, in additional to being one hell of an actor. Loved his comment about looking in the mirror. He sees 'just me'. The same person he sees everyday. I hope and pray for his sake that that view never changes. Thanks Leeser for the interview and thanks Alex for being such a nice and approachable guy.

What a lovely man!
It's so nice to read that Alex is in this business because he wants to be an actor and tell stories, not be famous. It is clear he cares deeply about his craft and I respect and applaud that.
Alex is so much more than a pretty face with a beautiful physique, and I think that is why so many have fallen so hard for this Aussie. It's obvious he not only has great talent, charisma and personality, but there is a lot going on behind his (beautiful) eyes, in his heart and between his ears. I fall in love with him the more I hear him talk or read his interviews.
I wish him all the happiness and success he dreams of.
Long live Moonlight!
Thank you Lisa for this great article.

Alex O. sounds like a great guy, so nice he gave his time to be interviewed - great job in your being brave enough to ask him! I love the show, hope that after the strike we get to see more Moonlight. It's the best vampire show to come along in many... a moon.

Great article about Alex and Moonlight. We certainly need all the positive feedback we can get for this show, especially in light of the continuing Writer's strike. A very bad thing for TV fans!
