if they are having such great proof of paranormal activity, show some footage akin to Ghost Hunters. Also, why wouldn't they show the demonic name supposedly invoked. Gimme a break, who was it beezlebub, azazel, mehpistaphales, or the many others, c'mon, this is almost a religious shock therapy after school special. Show some actual footage if you even have any.
I Love The Show, I Live In Conneaut Lake Pa, And Have Worked At Hotel Conneaut For A Few Years It Is A Haunted Hotel, I Believe In Hauntings I Have Seen and Heard Enough there to believe They Should Check It Out
The show is a laugh! I love the blank stares from everyone except the guy leading the show. And these are your 'experts' ha! The lead guy tries to be so serious and talks of his 'experiences'. Well tell us wise one. Let us know these demons that haunt you. Surely they are called ratings. Please let the actors strike end, so we can get at least a real actor to portray someone who can communicate with the dead. Maybe Demi Moore, at least she was more convincing in Ghost. This show is an absolute joke. Praise the Ghost Hunters!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love the show.. The one about the little boy who had been seeing Timmy was soooo crazy.. I think it's really good that ya'll go around to help these people because honestly that boy was probably terrified for his life & I'm happy ya'll helped him!
The name of the demon in Belial...which is the Chief of all devils and brings about wickedness and guilt. If you noticed the letters flashing on the screen that's what they spell out. Although it's bleeped out in the episode this week, if you're able to read lips, you'll see that. As for it being a joke...you've obviously never experienced anything of this sort.
I like this show a lot. It's cool Im really in to the paranormal and Im just glad they are putting more cool stuff on tv instead of stupid drama crap!
I've lived in a really haunted house for about 7 years !! It was pretty crazy at times. So,everything about the paranormal interests me ,shows, books, ghost-cams... etc!I love the show,'Ghost Hunters!' I watched 'Paranormal State,' but found it hard to get into? So, I turned the volume down.... and decided to just watch and not listen ! It wasn't too bad since I think Ryan Buell is 'HOT!!'
that show is better than that dang ghost hunters. The two things between paranormal state and ghost hunters, ghost hunters is fake and paranormal state is all real.
hey. i watch Paranormal State and ghost hunters and Paranormal State seems why to made up. I mean they never show any proof they do little to disprove any of the hauntings. They also always very quickly find of the info they need on a house. i can accept they are quick but its a little to quick like next day they know everything.
They seem to only go places that have demons or little kids who see ghost which is ok but for these places to be so haunted they sure seem to not ever have any proof nor do they seem to make any effort to prove it to there viewers
ghost hunters series all ways try to disprove a haunting and they try to get proof most of theres show they dont get proof which seems alot more real because they want proof roo. They dont make up proof if these paranormal state people are able to find these extreamly haunted place why does no one else know of them? in the episode where the little boy talked to a Timmy I dont understand how they can have a child who can do that and not stay with him to study ghost since he cant talk to them. If ghost hunters had done it they would be doing all kinds of things to study it to prove ghost sre real
Paranormal State just leaves and moves on.
Justin,
I completely know what your talking about when you say that they don't even try to disprove it like Ghost Hunters do. I mean I love the Paranormal State team and what they do...I just wish they would try a little more, but Justin they are just starting their journey. Ghost Hunters have been doing this sort of thing for years and years. I support the Paranormal Team, and I always will.
Unlike other televised paranormal shows, Paranormal State does not receive money when they conduct their investigations. Did you know that (to people knocking the show)? They receive money by speaking at schools, universities, etc. AND..by selling merchandies on their website.
It seems to me that the investigators are more interested in helping people than in producing a theatrical show (for rating purposes)and I think that is great. We live in a money driven world, it's nice to know that there are a few people left in this world with the desire to really help others and not just themselves.
Sure, the show is basic, but they are just starting out and in my opinion, basic is good. The fact that it is so basic, only makes me believe it more. What you see is what you get.
In the past, I have had a few experiences of my own and if you know anything about the paranormal or if you have had experiences, you know that spirits, etc. do not appear on cue. Most hauntings are basic and activity does not occur all the time.
If you want proof, do some research.
I actually like the show, and I am actually sick of the same old Ghost Hunters. Of course , their new International show is quit interesting, considering that they are investigating places that have been around for more than a few hundred years. I do agree with the fact that the Ghost Hunters do try to go in and prove that there is not any paranormal activity instead of going in saying 'Oh, this place has to be haunted because the people say it is.'
I think that I just really like the new show Paranormal State because it is refreshing and to all those previous comments about them never showing anything worthy as evidence then you need to take note of the very beginning of each show where they clearly post the fact that they get many calls of activity but only visit the ones they feel are most worth there time and effort. That episode where they were outside recording that crazy howling coyote noises in the woods made my skin crawl.
Like they said above, they have to come up with their own money for equipment and funding. Beyond all that, they are young and doing what they want and trying to help people as they learn, so leave them alone. Keep up the good work Ryan and Co. I set the timer on my DVR to record all you're episodes and watch them with my husband, and he does not even believe in the paranormal, but he does like this show.
p.s. He can't stand the Ghost Hunters!
As much as I love the concept along with the topic, the show has way too many faults. As a student of the moving picture, I can tell you that the director and his staff are pulling the cover over your eyes. From background music when you are trying to hear actual noises they claim they are hearing to extreme close-up shots on subjects when all you want is an extreme (wide) visual of their surroundings along with corny introductions to their subjects when there is an existing camera inside of their homes. The show is too much about 'magic' and not enough (or even close to enough reality or in other words, proof).
My sense is that the shows objective is to make believers of those who desperately want to believe. Paranormal State is not succeeding in doing this.
I want to believe and I am not satisfied.
Suggestion: Either show the truth physically or find a (much) better crew to hide the fact that the show is (unfortunately) more of a hoax to entertain.
I am very surprised that A&E approved the show in its current state of falseho0d.
Go to Randalph College in VA please
Okay i looooove this show it is sooo real! I have been haunted all my life soo i know it's real!! Ryan is sooo hott if i could meet him......yumm! he is like my freaking dream man!
Hey Liz are you aware that these great people are sponsered by Pizza Hut?? They offer no proof of anything and the whole show is based on ratings. What is it that exactly qualifies these people to do anything? You can take a camera and go anywhere say it's haunted and make a show out of it.........People are stupid and they will buy into it (like you). Just because the show has creepy music and Ryan does his little Star Trek updates in his tape recorder obviously means everything is haunted right? Ihave news for you....People make things up, places that are old does not mean that mean that they are always haunted and people will put anything on TV that makes money. This show is a joke and is a mockery to anything that is serious in this feild.
The show is absolutely amazing. I myself am a medium and have been experiencing paranormal activity for years. Its just extremely refreshing to know Im not alone.
If the skeptics bothered to read the initial interview with Ryan, you'd realize that Paranormal State isn't interested in putting on a show for the viewers with bells and whistles of evidence with EVP's and video footage. The goal of the show is to help the people who are being tormented by these spirits, or demons.
Do I like Ghost Hunters... Yes... of course I like to see evidence. But for anybody who's dealt with the other side... you'd know that paranormal investigations aren't always about satisfying the disbelievers... it's about helping people.
Paranormal State rocks! It's entertaining, and it's also great to see someone out there trying to make a difference in the lives of those who feel helpless.
It makes sense for Pizza Hut to be sponsoring the group, after all, these are college students :) I love the show, it is not over the top in theatrics and Ryan is the hotness. They seem to be genuinely interested in helping people come to terms with what is happening around them. I LOVE THE SHOW and it definantly keeps me up at night!
The most significant fact about Ryan Buell is that he is, in a word, delusional. A single example: he was heavily influenced by Lorraine Warren; however:
He does not seem to have noticed that Warren is the well-known con artist who invented the Amityville hoax. She did it purely for profit. Either his investigational skills are so poor he has not yet discovered that fact, or he is so gullible that he believes the Amityville Horror was a true story.
It is always fun to believe one is a special person......but it is pretty sad when a person has to invent demons in order to give himself that feeling. That kind of hysterical personality is pretty well-known also, characterized by fantastic experiences in childhood, which they believe to be real; by an inabilty to think rationally (i.e. when most people hear animal-like noises in the woods, they think it might be some sort of animal...Ryan assumes it must be a supernatural beast.)
It is even sadder when a TV network plays into those delusions in order to sell advertising.
