if they are having such great proof of paranormal activity, show some footage akin to Ghost Hunters. Also, why wouldn't they show the demonic name supposedly invoked. Gimme a break, who was it beezlebub, azazel, mehpistaphales, or the many others, c'mon, this is almost a religious shock therapy after school special. Show some actual footage if you even have any.
I Love The Show, I Live In Conneaut Lake Pa, And Have Worked At Hotel Conneaut For A Few Years It Is A Haunted Hotel, I Believe In Hauntings I Have Seen and Heard Enough there to believe They Should Check It Out
The show is a laugh! I love the blank stares from everyone except the guy leading the show. And these are your 'experts' ha! The lead guy tries to be so serious and talks of his 'experiences'. Well tell us wise one. Let us know these demons that haunt you. Surely they are called ratings. Please let the actors strike end, so we can get at least a real actor to portray someone who can communicate with the dead. Maybe Demi Moore, at least she was more convincing in Ghost. This show is an absolute joke. Praise the Ghost Hunters!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love the show.. The one about the little boy who had been seeing Timmy was soooo crazy.. I think it's really good that ya'll go around to help these people because honestly that boy was probably terrified for his life & I'm happy ya'll helped him!
The name of the demon in Belial...which is the Chief of all devils and brings about wickedness and guilt. If you noticed the letters flashing on the screen that's what they spell out. Although it's bleeped out in the episode this week, if you're able to read lips, you'll see that. As for it being a joke...you've obviously never experienced anything of this sort.
I like this show a lot. It's cool Im really in to the paranormal and Im just glad they are putting more cool stuff on tv instead of stupid drama crap!
I've lived in a really haunted house for about 7 years !! It was pretty crazy at times. So,everything about the paranormal interests me ,shows, books, ghost-cams... etc!I love the show,'Ghost Hunters!' I watched 'Paranormal State,' but found it hard to get into? So, I turned the volume down.... and decided to just watch and not listen ! It wasn't too bad since I think Ryan Buell is 'HOT!!'
that show is better than that dang ghost hunters. The two things between paranormal state and ghost hunters, ghost hunters is fake and paranormal state is all real.
hey. i watch Paranormal State and ghost hunters and Paranormal State seems why to made up. I mean they never show any proof they do little to disprove any of the hauntings. They also always very quickly find of the info they need on a house. i can accept they are quick but its a little to quick like next day they know everything.
They seem to only go places that have demons or little kids who see ghost which is ok but for these places to be so haunted they sure seem to not ever have any proof nor do they seem to make any effort to prove it to there viewers
ghost hunters series all ways try to disprove a haunting and they try to get proof most of theres show they dont get proof which seems alot more real because they want proof roo. They dont make up proof if these paranormal state people are able to find these extreamly haunted place why does no one else know of them? in the episode where the little boy talked to a Timmy I dont understand how they can have a child who can do that and not stay with him to study ghost since he cant talk to them. If ghost hunters had done it they would be doing all kinds of things to study it to prove ghost sre real
Paranormal State just leaves and moves on.
Justin,
I completely know what your talking about when you say that they don't even try to disprove it like Ghost Hunters do. I mean I love the Paranormal State team and what they do...I just wish they would try a little more, but Justin they are just starting their journey. Ghost Hunters have been doing this sort of thing for years and years. I support the Paranormal Team, and I always will.
Unlike other televised paranormal shows, Paranormal State does not receive money when they conduct their investigations. Did you know that (to people knocking the show)? They receive money by speaking at schools, universities, etc. AND..by selling merchandies on their website.
It seems to me that the investigators are more interested in helping people than in producing a theatrical show (for rating purposes)and I think that is great. We live in a money driven world, it's nice to know that there are a few people left in this world with the desire to really help others and not just themselves.
Sure, the show is basic, but they are just starting out and in my opinion, basic is good. The fact that it is so basic, only makes me believe it more. What you see is what you get.
In the past, I have had a few experiences of my own and if you know anything about the paranormal or if you have had experiences, you know that spirits, etc. do not appear on cue. Most hauntings are basic and activity does not occur all the time.
If you want proof, do some research.
I actually like the show, and I am actually sick of the same old Ghost Hunters. Of course , their new International show is quit interesting, considering that they are investigating places that have been around for more than a few hundred years. I do agree with the fact that the Ghost Hunters do try to go in and prove that there is not any paranormal activity instead of going in saying 'Oh, this place has to be haunted because the people say it is.'
I think that I just really like the new show Paranormal State because it is refreshing and to all those previous comments about them never showing anything worthy as evidence then you need to take note of the very beginning of each show where they clearly post the fact that they get many calls of activity but only visit the ones they feel are most worth there time and effort. That episode where they were outside recording that crazy howling coyote noises in the woods made my skin crawl.
Like they said above, they have to come up with their own money for equipment and funding. Beyond all that, they are young and doing what they want and trying to help people as they learn, so leave them alone. Keep up the good work Ryan and Co. I set the timer on my DVR to record all you're episodes and watch them with my husband, and he does not even believe in the paranormal, but he does like this show.
p.s. He can't stand the Ghost Hunters!
As much as I love the concept along with the topic, the show has way too many faults. As a student of the moving picture, I can tell you that the director and his staff are pulling the cover over your eyes. From background music when you are trying to hear actual noises they claim they are hearing to extreme close-up shots on subjects when all you want is an extreme (wide) visual of their surroundings along with corny introductions to their subjects when there is an existing camera inside of their homes. The show is too much about 'magic' and not enough (or even close to enough reality or in other words, proof).
My sense is that the shows objective is to make believers of those who desperately want to believe. Paranormal State is not succeeding in doing this.
I want to believe and I am not satisfied.
Suggestion: Either show the truth physically or find a (much) better crew to hide the fact that the show is (unfortunately) more of a hoax to entertain.
I am very surprised that A&E approved the show in its current state of falseho0d.
Go to Randalph College in VA please
Okay i looooove this show it is sooo real! I have been haunted all my life soo i know it's real!! Ryan is sooo hott if i could meet him......yumm! he is like my freaking dream man!
Hey Liz are you aware that these great people are sponsered by Pizza Hut?? They offer no proof of anything and the whole show is based on ratings. What is it that exactly qualifies these people to do anything? You can take a camera and go anywhere say it's haunted and make a show out of it.........People are stupid and they will buy into it (like you). Just because the show has creepy music and Ryan does his little Star Trek updates in his tape recorder obviously means everything is haunted right? Ihave news for you....People make things up, places that are old does not mean that mean that they are always haunted and people will put anything on TV that makes money. This show is a joke and is a mockery to anything that is serious in this feild.
The show is absolutely amazing. I myself am a medium and have been experiencing paranormal activity for years. Its just extremely refreshing to know Im not alone.
If the skeptics bothered to read the initial interview with Ryan, you'd realize that Paranormal State isn't interested in putting on a show for the viewers with bells and whistles of evidence with EVP's and video footage. The goal of the show is to help the people who are being tormented by these spirits, or demons.
Do I like Ghost Hunters... Yes... of course I like to see evidence. But for anybody who's dealt with the other side... you'd know that paranormal investigations aren't always about satisfying the disbelievers... it's about helping people.
Paranormal State rocks! It's entertaining, and it's also great to see someone out there trying to make a difference in the lives of those who feel helpless.
It makes sense for Pizza Hut to be sponsoring the group, after all, these are college students :) I love the show, it is not over the top in theatrics and Ryan is the hotness. They seem to be genuinely interested in helping people come to terms with what is happening around them. I LOVE THE SHOW and it definantly keeps me up at night!
The most significant fact about Ryan Buell is that he is, in a word, delusional. A single example: he was heavily influenced by Lorraine Warren; however:
He does not seem to have noticed that Warren is the well-known con artist who invented the Amityville hoax. She did it purely for profit. Either his investigational skills are so poor he has not yet discovered that fact, or he is so gullible that he believes the Amityville Horror was a true story.
It is always fun to believe one is a special person......but it is pretty sad when a person has to invent demons in order to give himself that feeling. That kind of hysterical personality is pretty well-known also, characterized by fantastic experiences in childhood, which they believe to be real; by an inabilty to think rationally (i.e. when most people hear animal-like noises in the woods, they think it might be some sort of animal...Ryan assumes it must be a supernatural beast.)
It is even sadder when a TV network plays into those delusions in order to sell advertising.
i cant grasp the fact that people can believe in something that has no real evidence.i mean if the cops can solve a case by searching and showing eveidence why cant penn state do the same,u guys have cameras and motin detecters but(no offence to any one)have u seen the houses uve gone into, most of those house arent fool proof like a strand of hair coulda of prolly set of those sensers like geeze, theres so man variables u guys do not include, its cool that u can investagate these areas but how truthfull is the information i mean everyone is pretty much out to make a quick buck so y not make up a story.theres just not enough eveidence i mean theres great acting and wut not and u do seem to make it look real.but looks are not everything.and its almost like the same routen every episode
great sho but u havent really convinsed me to keep watching sorry
For moster movie lovers, PNS is going to be frustrating because the commercials for the coming weeks' 'all new episodes' only show the most freaky 'paranormal mini-scenes' which turn out to be nothing 95% of the time (except the episode when the demon revealed its name in the mind of Ryan and Chip). Others may not think it was freaky or believed it, but I did! I'm scared of that stuff. Ryan tried to conceal the demon's name, which A&E plastered in large red letters more than once, which begged the audience to rewind and descramble it if they couldn't identify it immediately when flashed on screen. Now that demon has more recognition from all of the PNS viewing audience (which Ryan did not want to give it). Did A&E tell PNS they were going to do that before that episode aired? How much control does PNS have in editing what A&E aires?
I have the feeling that Ryan did experience something very real when he was a child and still does. I would like to know more on the other members' hauntings of PNS too. Ryan is trying to find what in the world or out of this world was/is haunting him. Helping others who may have or think they may have had something similar is cathartic to him. I can't think of much worse that could happen. For example, if I, all of a sudden at age 23, saw wicked things when I went to bed and nobody believed I saw them, and thought I needed to see a doctor mainly a psychiatrist, I would be crushed, but not surprised. I am getting my MS in nursing at Clemson and most all of my friends and docs I work with would be looking only to science (most likely neurology or psychiatry), and most likely wouldn't believe in wicked entities anyway. I would go immediately and look for support from others who were experiencing the same terror, so we could try to understand it together and hopefully defeat it. A one-semester roommate graduated in December and I hate being all alone in this apartment now. I would probably try to spend every night with my semi-serious boyfriend. That could scare him away, and I am way too proud to admit I had scary spirits or demons haunting me and was scared to be alone at night. That would most likely scare him away immediately! I've lived mostly alone for almost 5 yrs. That would just be embarrassing. I see real guts and real death all the time and fall asleep 10 minutes after my shift is over. I am a skeptic, see things in black/white (no grays allowed in my brain) and I am really struggling trying to find the all-elusive faith in the Heaven or Hell destination. This show isn't helping. Looks like people get stuck all the time in other places after death other than Heaven or Hell. How much control do they have over their spirit if they have no body to encase their spirit and energy to draw out of living cells to move out of a place they don't want to be? See, I have so much trouble with faith. I can't turn myself over. Oh, what a bad patient I would be and what a struggle I have ahead of me.
I believe if Ryan and his crew really want to help others and don't care if A&E drops them because the show is not showing enough real demon possessions to capture enough of an audience to compete with CSI Miami which has the same time slot, then Ryan is the real deal.
There is no telling how far Ryan, with his good looks and great-sounding voice could go on the small screen if they (PNS AND A&E) just ratcheted the show up with fake demons and showed them for nanoseconds on TV and Ryan turned into the hero and made all the bad stuff, created by A&E, go away. This show already has credibility as being the real deal with real entities, mediums, demonologists, and the like to many people, and they would watch because they COULD not tear themselves away from real (good or bad) entities and seeing Ryan, the hero, and then spend 5 nights not sleeping again because of the fear of seeing a real demon or scary spirit. Then, that would open them up to actually being haunted, especially if they are a struggling skeptic who doesn't want to take the chance on closing the door to Jesus Christ and being a faithful follower when they are possibly being called. Then a real bad thing could find a crack in their psyche and move on in!
If this show ends up the way I just described, which I don't think it will, then Ryan is just making more children and adults afraid of what he was afraid of as a kid and open to actual hauntings. Then again, could evil be using Ryan Buell as a tool for their cause?? Sorry Ryan, but Satan is a deceiver and the biggest liar ever. You have women (most likely little girls) who are gaga over you already and want to marry you NOW. Your vulnerability, cute dimple in your right cheek (of your face), Capt. Kirk (in the late 60's) good looks, and deep voice, make you a bankable TV star, and A&E can offer you something you might not can refuse to get the ratings, except you are always going to have that entity to remind you what your purpose in life probably is. Never sell out! I don't think you started this several years ago anticipating A&E picking this up. So I don't think you could. You seem to be happy with life as is and not materialistic.
Katie
I don't care what anybody says, I love this show! And it's really cool that those guys are doing all of this non-profit! To me, this show is really about helping the families through what they're experiencing. They aren't there just to get the boogey man on film! Unfortunately that's what most people find entertaining, but I relish in the fact that the family will be better off and not as terrified as they were before the PRS team showed up. I mean, that's what I would want! I personally hope this show stays on the air and doesn't change! Morals, crew, or anything else!
I love watching Paranormal State more so than TAPS, I think that taps is a joke! I really believe in the supernatural very much so. I have had experiences in the paranormal which some have been negative & positive! I believe that the devil does exist and that GOD does too.I think people who are sceptical, have never had an experience that hits close to home. I feel sorry for people who have not had experiences, and the reason why I do is because they have never been touched by something, whether it be GOD or the devil! Anyone who has ever had a close relationship with GOD knows that these things do exist. Even having Psychic abilities of any kind are a GOD given gift, to use for the greater good; maybe to help lost spirits find their way or to help someone understand what they are going through and that they are not crazy. My grandmother had died 2 years ago and I know she comes to see me and the rest of the family but they choose not to aknowledge it. My dad had herd her ask him to come here and he just thought it was all in his head, but I told him that it was not in his head and that he should not blow it off! I have had experiences with demons and it is not fun or funny in any way. I just hope people who are sceptical don't have a negative experience, but maybe that is what it will take for them to really believe.
Paranormal State, I hope you become more successful in the coming years, and prosperous in every way, Ya are awesome, the best; keep it up!
Are you people kidding me? Ive seen a few people here say Ghost Hunters is fake. I like THIS show too don't get me wrong, but come on. TAPS goes into every investigation with a skeptical outlook. They'll straight up tell you if somethings not haunted. How do you fake an EVP?
hey man do wat u gotta do but let me in on it because i am a beliver of ghost and wat not let me join the team where can i sign up
This shhow is ten times better than ghoust hunters. The TAPS team is more about themselves than anything. I think that Penn State Paranormal team is great because they actually respect the spirits they encounter and that is very important.
This show is complete junk. I live down the road from the first episode, in washington pa, and was on the forums discussing it, and was literally told to shut up because I said I had heard they weren't happy with PRS. So now thats gone on and the ADMIN (a very peachy little prick), has literally gone on to childish games of sending 1 sentence messages to me saying 'does that make you mad'. Its almost like pee-wee and saying 'i know you are but what am I'....very annoying. So, yea...wanna touch pages e-mail me and i can even show you the messages sent to me by admin haha
darjmc8589@yahoo.com
Oh to add onto that haha i've been banned from contacting the admin to tell him anything what so ever.
I Love the show as well. I think that they have alot of good footage on their shows. I believe that they all work well together. Just because they may not have extrodinary footage doesnt mean that they arent have personal experiences! I have them all of the time. My brother and grandpa died, and my aunt and I always get strange occurances. With the dog jumping in the air in a dead silent sleep!.....The Show is for real i believe. Many of us will continue watching it. *deuces
ohh by the way...Ryan is purdy good looking dont you think? lol!
The show needs more Ryan! All Ryan all the time!
wow i love your show
im really into the show
i would like you guys to an epasode on the 7 hills
if any of you retards think paranormal state crap is real, i feel sorry for you! let us see some evidence or some de-bunking! like the real ghost hunters!
Ryan is SOOOOOOOOOOO AWSOME!!!!! I like episode 29.
Ryan is SO hot...
I LOVE your show, even if its a re-run i watch it =]
cant wait for tonight's 10PM show!!!
I also like how you guys help people, i would totally LOVE to meet the team!
xox
I love the show, and it's interesting on how the team works together to help solve why those places are being haunted. I've seen my share of ghosts in my life time and it scared the hell out of me. So I can feel for the families who have to go through the same thing. Mine, however I did find out the history of the place and why it was being haunted. I usually tried to avoid going anywhere near the building but somehow one of my family members were always curious and took me to it anyway. I just wish that there were members like Ryan and his crew in Red Deer Alberta to help me and others who are terrified to go anywhere near the Cronquist house at night or anytime of the day. And help the spirit who still lives inside the house to give it up and go to another dimension instead of thinking that he has to haunt the building and scare other people to keep them out of his tea house.
i would love to know what church you all go to. ive been in the catholic church as a young kid and i didnt know they believed inthe spirit world. the church i am in now believes in the spirit world and does baptisms for the dead, its the church of jesus christ latter day saints, not the polygimist sect that the church has denounced, another name would be mormon, they believe and teach about the spirit world. i would like to know what the religious beliefs of the team is what church they attend and what church they advise to attend. i love you ryan and i love you mr.coffee, take care all of you and god bless you. thank god for you. ann
I am phycic in Norwood MA. I hate when they say 'oooh did you hear that'
and on top of the recording of the show they'll play music or make 'creeky' sounds. Shut Up! Let us hear what they supposedly hear. Elphie could use a hair brush and some pro-active. I'm not being a snob but if I were on TV id try to look my best.
Paranormal State is a great show. Im so into i like it better than Ghost Hunters. Because in Ghost Hunters they never seem to be able to get anything on camera like you can hear things but they don't prove it and they say they see things but never get it on camera which agrivtaes me.
I think this show is full of bullshi!! I am a skeptic, and this proves to me even more. Look at Jon Edwards, they found out that he was a phoney too... just wait you will see.
I love Paranormal State.Things like this really do happen. They've happend to me.What they do is amazing.Praise (PRS)The stuff on this show really is real.Keep up the awsome job guys.
wow.....alot of comments. well ive been watching the show weekly now for about 2months....and have seen just ''1'' episode that involves a kid that can see ghosts, also most of the episodes ive seen involve ryan and his team actually promoting the idea that maybe its not ghosts but other influences ...such as the famaly being stressed or how about the episode where ryan calls in the gasman to check for gas leaks that could be poisoning the famaly and causing hallucinations.
i genuinly enjoy the show, some of the stories behind these hauntings are genuinly creepy and most deffinatley have alot of substance to them......now ive watched ghost hunters and to be honest it always seems like some tech guys fiddling around with some really fancy toys but in fact know little to nothing about the paranormal or as to why these ''hauntings'' are taking place.....and why do they always end up in some public showroom.....ile tell you why...because the places involved in ghost hunters are always after some really good publicity ...at least the pen state team take the time to investigate real ppl who are having genuine problems......be they paranormal or just physcological, and no i dont genuinly believe all the story's in pen state, the majority hold alot of substance and history to back up the haunting.....unlike ghosthunters who are just being paid to advertise whatever place they investigate....i think what ryan and his team do..in time....will add to the great mystery of the unknown for future generations to understand and learn from......enough said, peace!
It's as if every show is the same. I do appreciate the fact that they do their investigations for free however Paranormal State did two investigations in my state very near to where I live and it has been shown that at least one of the episodes was all based on untruths. I know that these people have a show to put on, it's just that making up the paranormal as you go is not my idea of entertainment. I could go and watch a movie if I want scripted drama. Hopefully as these young people have more life and paranormal experiences their work will be taken more seriously. Ryan gets too emotional.......Maybe Sergie would be a better leader as he seems to have a more level headed demeaner.
I being living with ghost for about ten years and now my boyfriend is been told to get out him not wanted in the house.
I think they do a great job.Their not the ghost hunters. They go deeper and god only knows how much thy cut out for a 21 minute program.Keep up the great job yall are doing.God bless yall.
Hey Ryan
Im such a fan of your shows, I really think your gift is amazing. Isn't it kinda scary to do the kind of stuff that you do?
i think the show is really cool ive always belived in ghost and spirits and they are real and plus i watch the show every monday at 10.00 when it/s on and i think they do a good job on the show by helping the famlies who need help so i think that/s cool, but i would like to see them do an episode when they do one on apartment building that would be nice cause ilive in one so just to say you guys are doing a good job keep it up ryan.thank you you/re friend james
This show is a sham from the get go. This guy act like he is some sort of special person and that everyone should follow him. All the sounds are fake, they never show anything.
Maybe this is fun for the 'Twilight' gothic tweenies, but for a mature audience it is pure B.S. Beull is an idiot wannabee.
It's is a joke.
halooooo people! i love paranormal state and ryannn!!!!! realllyyyyy cuttteeeee!! lol :P all i wanna say is that paranormal state is great but sometimes i dunno...scaryyyyyyyyy lol like ya ghosts are still spirits but their lost spirits. i cant wait till paranormal state finds out the truth about all this.
