After a break that seemed to last forever, the popular medical drama "House’" returned to Fox last night for it’s season 4 premiere.

If you’ve been a fan of the show up until now, then you most likely enjoyed the premiere as much as I did.
Last night’s episode stayed true to the previous seasons and continued where last season left off, in what seems to be a running storyline in which House has to hire a new staff following the departure of his previous team.
It also had the main story line in which we’ve all come to know and love where House has to devote himself to helping a patient with a unique condition. Last night’s episode seemed to be more captivating in character development and by the time you start to sympathize with the characters you were hit with the biggest twist ending that the show has yet to provide.
The show hasn’t changed much as far as format by keeping the same algorithm: show opens with a man or woman falling over, man or woman is sent to Dr. House (Hugh Laurie), nobody knows how to cure the man or woman, Dr. House stumbles over the cure, everybody goes home happy (or dies).
Though this seems like it would get repetitive, it actually works quite successfully. The show is like a drug that gives me a reason to watch TV on Tuesday nights by bringing a combination of excellent writing, graphic surgery scenes, sarcastic humor and the misanthropic attitude of Hugh Laurie.
The acting that Laurie provides in itself is a reason to devote an hour a week to this program and seeing the red light on my Tivo go on at 9:00 pm on Tuesday nights makes me feel all warm inside.
