On July 17th, TBS rolls out the latest family comedy with the premiere of "The Bill Engvall Show."

Engvall is a veteran of the Blue Collar comedy quartet that featured the blisteringly funny Texan, Ron White, the O.G. redneck, Jeff Foxworthy and Larry the Cable Guy, who is really Dan Whitney from Nebraska.
Bill has spun his family-centric and ain't girls/women just too dang much act into a three camera, live studio audience sit-com, like in the days of yore.
Engvall stars as Bill Pearson - a family counselor who lives in a Denver suburb. His wife, Susan (terrific actress Nancy Travis), is a stay-at-home mom who keeps her family together while placating her husband.
Susan is the tail that wags the clueless dog (Bill) and all in her domain. But in classic retro sit-com style, she lets him think he is in charge and competent.
The kids are archetypal sit-com anchors: Good girl teen daughter Lauren (Jennifer Lawrence), video-game addict son Trent (Graham Patrick Martin) and neurotically neat son Bryan (Skyler Gisondo).
Every long-suffering dad needs a buddy, enter Paul (Tim Meadows), with his own issues.
When will the genuinely funny Ron White get his whack at a film or television show?
