Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Erika Girardi wants to add a second fish tank to her Beverly Hills home on Animal Planet’s Tanked. The twist? No fish, just a couple of octopuses.
The RHOBH beauty has a solid marriage to super lawyer Tom Girardi, plus a bitching SoCal home and a stunning 1920s library that she wants to add pizzazz to.
This hausfrau has a glammy double life as a sexy 45+-year-old mother AND pop star who has had eight chart-topping dance hits as Erika Jayne.
She’s one of the most interesting wives of the cast that features Lisa Rinna, Eileen Davidson, Kim Richards, Kyle Richards, Kathryn Edwards, and Lisa Vanderpump.
Now the Tanked team of Wayde King and Brett Raymer are “patting the puss” and heading to the Real Housewife of Beverly Hills’ abode where the silicone and dumb blonde jokes are flying.
But don’t doubt that whip-smart siren Erika really knows what she wants and describes her concept to the Tanked guys to add a little zing to this incredibly stately room. Maybe an octopus or two.
Erika shows Wayde and Brett the intended tank location and space, saying: “This is my library, yeah.”
The guys are gobsmacked at how lovely the wood and the details of the room are with the 1920s bookcase. Wayde thinks he’s in the Clue house.
This makes Erika laugh, and she says: “Nobody’s murdered anyone I promise!”
She asks: “Do you think you could make something in the bookcase? Recessed into here so that it’s not sticking out..I think it could be really neat!”
When the guys describe how they will do it, she looks nervous. She says: “How much demo is that, like? Is this gonna be loud? Can we make it quiet?”
Wade assures her: “Yeah cause its a library obviously we don’t want to interrupt you when your reading.”
Erika snorts: “Oh yeah, cause I read so much!”
She then shocks the two tanked veterans, saying: “I want an octopus!”
What? The guys look at each other. Brett says: “An octopus?
“I don’t want a big scary one,” says Erika. “I want a real pretty one like a girl octopus, you know…pretty!”
Erika gets an immediate tutorial on octopuses’ territorial and hunting behaviors in the tank and it’s not good.
They literally can climb out of tanks to go into other tanks to eat fish.
Here’s Erika in the library:
Erika also gets her hands dirty to learn about the work that’ll go into building her tank.
On blushing like a lobster when he meets Erika, marine technician Robert ‘Robbie Redneck’ Christlieb says to Wayde: “If I knew you were bringing a Real Housewife in I would have wore my tooth!”
Tanked: Real Aquariums of Beverly Hills World Premiere is tonight at 10pm ET/PT on Animal Planet.
