Janice and Brad breakdown in the middle of nowhere and find themselves at the door of Furter’s mansion. Let in by his weird handy man Riff Raff they soon realise they are in the middle of a bizarre convention and a party to celebrate the doctor’s latest creation, Rocky Horror.

This new version stars Laverne Cox as the outrageous Dr. Frank-N-Furter, Reeve Carney his weird handyman Riff Raff, Victoria Justice is straight-laced Janice, Ryan McCarten is upstanding Brad, Annaleigh Ashford is groupie Columbia, Christina Milian is the maid Magenta, Staz Nair plays the doctor’s creation Rocky Horror.

This TV movie version also stars Adam Lambert in Meat Loaf’s role of delivery boy Eddie and Tim Curry (Frank-N-Furter in the 1975 movie) as The Criminologist.

The 1975 movie was spawned from the stage musical (The Rocky Horror Show) and has legions of fans across the world, with people often turning up to screenings in costume and performing all the numbers and movements along with the movie.

Catchy songs, sexy outfits and sexual ambiguity were the hallmarks of the original.

He’ll get you a satanic mechanic – a classic number from the original 1975 movie

 

Richard O’Brien created the story, wrote the music and the songs as well as starring as Riff Raff.

Jim Sharman directed a cast that included Tim Curry, Susan Sarandon, Barry Bostwick and O’Brien.
