Life in a British hospital: Hoby City is a slice of the daily lives of the doctors, nurses and patients in the cardiac unit of Holby City General Hospital.
The unit is run by Consultant Surgeon Anton Meyer (George Irving) assisted by Registrar Nick (Michael French) who are at constant loggerheads with Consultant Muriel McKendrick ('Phyllis Logan' ) over available beds with the rest of the staff caught in the cross-fire.
