Smallscreen - Head Case
Get ready for another round of honesty and $450.00/hour misguidance, as celebrity therapist Dr. Elizabeth Goode hits the couch once again.
Unapologetically frank, Dr. Elizabeth Goode (Alexandra Wentworth – “Live with Oprah,” “Seinfeld,” “In Living Color”) is not your average Hollywood therapist. She’s a tad judgmental, occasionally argumentative, but always committed to her uphill battle treating mental health within the entertainment industry.
Celebrity guests who will appear as themselves include Jerry Seinfeld, Spice Girl Geri Halliwell, SNL™ alum Kevin Nealon, “Survivor” host Jeff Probst and Playboy’s™ Hugh Hefner with one time girlfriend Bridget Marquardt.
All new additional episodes of this original half-hour comedy premiere Friday, March 20th at 10pm ET/PT only on Starz. Let the healing resume.
Dr. Elizabeth Jane Goode, Ph.D
Born and raised in Cornwall, CT, Dr. Elizabeth Goode began her career as an honors graduate from Miss Porter’s Preparatory School. She went on to graduate Magna Cum Laude from Wellesley College before earning her Master's Degree at Johns Hopkins University. Her limited experience in the field of psychotherapy, however, should not be looked upon as a negative. Indeed, her unconventional approach to therapy has made her a standout in the Hollywood community. Dr. Goode is also a founding member of the Richfield Junior Boggle League, and is skilled in Tantric sex and miniature bird taxidermy. Dr. Goode is not married.
Dr. Myron Finkelstein, MD
Freudian psychiatrist Dr. Myron Finkelstein is definitely in the old-school camp of psychiatry. There are no problems he can’t blame on an obsession with killing your father and having sex with your mother. Dr. Finkelstein barely graduated with an MD and has been scraping out a living ever since Dr. Goode arrived at the practice. Dr. Finkelstein’s appointment book is almost always completely empty, so rest assured, you’ll get straight in to see him. He’d like to make it known that no problem is too small, no psychosis too trivial. Dr. Finkelstein’s willingness to dish out prescription drugs at the stroke of a pen makes him a clear choice for the addict in a hurry.
Lola Buckingham, Celebrity Ambassadress/Receptionist
The first thing you’ll notice about Miss Buckingham, other than her blatantly exposed (and ample) cleavage, is her English accent. Don’t let this fool you, she’s not reserved and has remarkably good teeth. She’s the warm welcome to our small but drab office. Lola has made herself available to many of Dr. Goode’s famous clients as a “Celebrity Mascot”, an innovative and mercenary piece of thinking that shows just how far Lola will go to get herself “in” with Hollywood’s brightest stars. What can we say about Lola’s skills as an actual receptionist? Well, she hasn’t been fired. Yet.
