Dexter is a Showtime original television series starring Michael C. Hall as serial killer Dexter Morgan, who works as a forensics analyst specializing in bloodstain pattern analysis for the Miami-Dade Police Department.
The series is based on the novel Darkly Dreaming Dexter by Jeff Lindsay.
The last season was a knockout punch, as Dexter's beloved wife Rita was killed by the Trinity Killer (John Lithgow) who was killed earlier by Dexter himself. The series was also highlighted by Special Agent Lundy (Keith Carradine) - another victim at the hands of the Trinity Killer's daughter, who was a reporter for the Miami Herald news.
