London: Six Dance Lessons in Six Weeks plays its final performance today at the Theatre Royal, Haymarket. The production was originally set to close on March 3, 2007. The run was then shortened to February 24th, and shortened a second time to today.
Starring in the comedy is Claire Bloom and Billy Zane. The play, written by Richard Alfrieri, premiered in Los Angeles in 2001 before moving to Broadway in 2003. The Broadway run starred Mark Hamill and Polly Bergen. Arthur Allan Seidelman directs this production.
The creative team features choreography by Craig Revel Horwood, set design by Christopher Woods, and costume design by Christopher Woods.
In the play, a recent widow of a Southern Baptist minister, Lily Harrison, hires a dance instructor to give her private lessons.
