Beyonce is rumoured to have been offered a job as a judge on the talent show X Factor by entrepreneur Simon Cowell.
A source tells mediatakeout.com that Cowell is willing to pay 30-year-old Beyonce $500M, or $100M per year for five seasons to be on the judging panel of the show.
Cowell has made big changes on X Factor in the hopes he can increase the ratings to outdo American Idol.
He has let go host Steve Jones and judges Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul.
It was reported that Cowell had been looking at Katy Perry, Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey to join the judging panel.
A source told the MTO website “He wants a big name female star on the panel. Mariah [Carey] is good, but she’s not that hot today. He wants Beyonce because that would immediately give him the bounce needed to beat American Idol.”
There is no word back from Beyonce on whether she is interested in taking the job.
The NYPost reported that Beyonce would like to stop touring and settle into parenthood. Being a judge on X Factor would let her have that.
An insider told MTO to expect a “MAJOR’ announcement in the next month or so from Beyonce regarding her career.
Sweet Dreams singer Beyonce and her husband Jay-Z welcomed their baby girl, Blue Ivy Carter, into the world on January 2nd 2012.
