On the heels of the news we reported that scribes Neil Purvis and Robert Wade are working some of their Bond script mojo on the remake of “Barbarella” comes casting rumors for the lead space vixen.
Legendary producers Dino and Martha De Laurentiis have completed a rights deal that will enable them to reinvent “Barbarella,” reported Variety.
According to the Daily Express, the rumor is that the producers for “Barbarella” think Sienna Miller is “perfect for the £55million update of the 1968 fantasy classic, which turned Jane Fonda into a sex symbol and film icon.”
“Sienna is at the top of our wish list and discussions are under way,” revealed an unnamed source “Not only is she gorgeous but she is a modern, sassy girl with just the right image. Like the young Jane Fonda she combines sex appeal and acting ability.”
The website cited Angelina Jolie as a contender too, but her price tag was allegedly a bit too hefty for the producers.
“To be blunt, Sienna is younger and cheaper,” said the unnamed source to the Daily Express.
