way to go India....well done. much more happy news for the space industry.
all that prime realestate just waiting to be claimed. Time for the UN(ya right) to allow for land claims for colonial and explorer rights of ownership.

hmmmm...a country sets up a base...the country in question can claim a certian radius around the base as their soveirgn territory.

a company sets up a base and starts mining it can claim a smaller radius under a countrys name(hmmm...liberia comes to mind...aka shipping) as that countries territory.

colonist set up base...they can claim independence or status under country with a radius deemed as soveriegn territory.

got to make sure you cant claim a whole planet owned by one country.

minerals galour in space....china and india will push the US and Russia and few other countries to expand their manned space effort.

The economics of it right now are not profitable, that is for sure.
But if anyone thinks that space is not the future, then he doesn't really think of the future.
And every one who wants to go into space, will start small and expensive, till the technology matures enough, infact the space exploration will be the main technology driving force in the near future, till the infinite future, it really is the final and infinite frontier, and one can do his homework on this too.
