Bush to announce plans to protect fish species

Washington - US President George W Bush in his Saturday radio address is to announce plans to protect two species of fish favoured by recreational fishermen.
Bush said he will sign an executive order to protect striped bass and red drum, which have been overfished. The move will prohibit the commercial sale of the fish if they are caught in waters controlled by the US government.
He also said he would announce policies to foster habitat conservation for migratory birds.
Bush cited the benefits to the economy of recreational anglers and outdoor enthusiasts.
