This is exactly what Steve Irwin would NOT have wanted.
This is so sad and immature. The stingray that killed Steve was defending itself (scared) and to massacre other innocent stingrays is unforgivable. The 'stingray population' is not responsible for Steve's death! He would be appalled at this childish behavior.
I agree. I bet dollars to doughnuts he is pretty upset about this 'retribution'. How stupid do you have to be??
Steve's life was all about wildlife conservation. Retribution taken against stingrays is just wrong, and goes against everything he was striving to acheive. We've lost a Wildlife Warrior, and that is very sad... but killing the rays for payback is completely pointless. It would be better to funnel all that energy into something useful instead. Just look what positively aimed energy can accomplish... I think Steve Irwin proved that point!
somehow I'm not surprised. Not all but many Australians are low life and uncivilised..
I can't believe people would do that, as much of a loss this was to those fighting for natural preservation, people shouldn't take this out on the stingrays. The Stingray was simply defending itself. If a big lion just came up to you and growled, you would try to defend yourself, well, you'd probably run, but if you were cornered.. It was just a reflex defense.. This would be the last thing Steve Irwin would have wanted, if anything, I think he'd want us to learn from his untimely death how we must respect and protect nature.
You're all gullible idiots.
Bill Turner, chairman of Sunfish QLD, said 'To tie this into what happened with Steve is just ridiculous,' ... 'I've been seeing this for the 50 years that I've been fishing.'
But it's not entirely your fault. It is completely irresponsible reporting to contrive a story around pure speculation and demonise a section of the community without naming names. We've been warned about that before with the Cronulla 'riots'.
In a universe of possibilities, these rays *might* have been killed by Martians. Anybody gonna report that?
hi all im sad for steves death he was a gr8 man and ill miss him i wonder if they will ever show how he died on tv nobody would want to see it but it would be good to see how this great man died doing what he loved best
I had been following steves programmes for many years as I am one of the nature lovers myself. He is faited to die in that freek manner. But to respond by avenging the death by killing the rays are really irresponsible
I think that it wasn't the stingrays fault, but some people have different oppions than ours. If Steve was your brother, wouldn't you be very angry at the stingrays? People were probobly soooooooooooo mad at the time, that they couldn't control their anger, I mean give the people a little slack, you don't have to insult them, or be cruel.
ok, what are you talking about Jason, kids at my school are beating each other up because of this, it's not good news that the Crocodile Hunter is dead!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would expect an adult to know better!
It's pethetic! how stupid can you get? This is egzacly wat he wanted to stop!
