For some time now, Buzz Aldrin has been my favorite among the astronauts of Apollo 11. Years ago, at first, I thought about how Neil Armstrong had a perfect name for an American hero, and how he was the first to step upon the surface of the Moon. But as soon as the Apollo program ended, Armstrong seemed to disappear from the public scene. I next took notice of how both the Irish people and the American people each had their own famous Michael Collins; and how fate had decided that each Mike Collins wouldn't be there with his companions when their final goal was achieved. Aldrin, unlike Armstrong, stayed on in the public eye after Apollo. And, after many years of hearing about, and hearing from, Buzz Aldrin on many interesting subjects, the 'Second man on the Moon' has for me become the 'First among the Apollo 11 Astronauts'.
'Armstrong seemed to disappear from the public scene.'
Armstrong was ashamed of his role in the whole moon landing hoax.

You know, the thick dust in, e.g., this NASA photograph:

This is just one example. There are hundreds of such pictures.
