Mister Fool, has a point. Politicians do lie, especially if the lying puts them in a position to control more of your life and gives them more money with which they can buy votes. Global warming is perfect for them. There is, therefore, very good reason to be skeptical.

Serious players in the field are either unwilling to put their own personal reputations on the line, or are speaking out on the science of so called global warming.
John R. Christy, Director of Earth System Science center at the Univ. of Alabama, participant in the IPCC and co-recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize with AL Gore has come out with serious reservations about the conclusions arrived at with the science that has been done.
With heavy Hitters like this dissenting, we have to ask if this so called science deserves the weight given to it by the polticians who have the most to gain from it.
Thus spake John Christy:

Snippet:
'At an IPCC Lead Authors' meeting in New Zealand, I well remember a conversation over lunch with three Europeans, unknown to me but who served as authors on other chapters. I sat at their table because it was convenient.
After introducing myself, I sat in silence as their discussion continued, which boiled down to this: 'We must write this report so strongly that it will convince the US to sign the Kyoto Protocol.'
Another interesting thing I have noticed is that there is more than a little British v.s. American yah-yah going on here. It's at least fifty-percent politics and twenty-percent boo-boos. I still have not found a real explanation of how a refrigerant can suddenly act like an insulator.
More stupidity from the 'feel good realm' of politics:

Guess how many acres of switch grass--Did I say acres?--Guess how many square miles we'll have to plant in switch grass to reduce US gasoline consumption by fifty percent! I'll give you a hint. Texas isn't nearly big enough, even if we moved 98% of our residents elsewhere and plowed under the houses and streets.
'Cold Waves' and their dates:

Convective gases can actually remove heat faster than solid copper, the best known conductor of both heat and electricity.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heat_pipe
Snippet:'The advantage of heat pipes is their great efficiency in transferring heat. They are actually a vastly better heat conductor than an equivalent cross-section of solid copper. Heat flows of more than 230 MW/m^2 have been recorded (nearly 4 times the heat flux at the surface of the sun)'
Show me how this carbon dioxide at these tiny concentrations and relatively low pressures can inhibit convection and I just might buy your story about carbon dioxide being the cause of global warming.
In addition to that recommendation, well known scientists who have many years in the analysis of solar activity have now joined the consulting staff at the SSRC. In acknowledging their teaming with the SSRC, Casey expressed his gratitude of their commitment by saying, “I am honored to announce that the first members have been added to the Consulting Scientists staff. They are Dr. Ernest Njau and Dr. Boris Komitov. These gentlemen are among a select group of researchers globally who believe that we are about to enter our next climate era, one with a long lasting deep cold period. They are highly respected scholars who have helped lead the way in their own countries in conducting in-depth research that has identified solar activity behavior as integral to the prediction of the Earth’s climate variations. These talented scientists are both now engaged in unique research that may lead to even more important discoveries in the sun’s behavior. They honor the SSRC by their pledge to assist the Center in its important mission.”
