Russell Brand and Julianne Hough will star in the untitled Mandate film marking the directorial debut of screenwriter Diablo Cody.
According to Variety, the film had been previously titled “Lamb of God.”
Cody will direct from her own script.

The film centers on a religious woman (Hough) who loses her faith following a plane crash and moves to Las Vegas to let her wild side show for the first time in her life. She eventually rediscovers her faith with the help of a new acquaintance (Brand).
Brand was last seen in “Arthur.”
Hough will be seen in the upcoming “Footloose” remake in October.
