ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars'” host Tom Bergeron is the most underrated comic mind on TV. He never misses a beat and is the only reason, except for seeing Patti LaBelle, that I even bothered. Erin Andrews needs to leave the funny bits to him and just stick to the basics.
Glad I tuned in, as this creaking ABC reality competition “Dancing With the Stars” kicked off its 20th season on Monday night.
It was more enjoyable than I expected and the best was saved for last. Speaking about Rumer Willis, who along with gymnast Nastia Liukin, is built perfectly for ballroom.
Bless the heart of that buxom burger hawker Charlotte McKinney, no matter how hard she tried, her body is too unbalanced for the graceful extensions and moves that ballroom demands. She didn’t have the flow in her legs, and unless she really gets the girls taped down hard and practices, I think she’s a casualty early on. Her partner Keo Motsepe kissed her cheek like a hundred times when they finished, maybe she smells like a delicious side of fries.
As always, there were plenty of hits (Rumer Willis) and will someone please explain what RedFoo is? Gold winner Olympian Nastia Liukin and one-time “Glee” star Riker Lynch are all in the six degrees of separation fro the Houghs, partners and a distant relation.
When Patti LaBelle teared up that was sweet, her foxtrot to “Lady Marmalade” was fun to see. Suzanne Somers is pushing 70 too! No excuses people. Get out there and move.
Here are the current scores.
