Rob Riggle to take part in ‘Larry Crowne’

Rob Riggle has joined the cast of Universal’s Tom Hanks-Julia Roberts drama “Larry Crowne.”

The film centers on a middle-aged man (Hanks) who, after losing his job, decides to enroll in college, where he catches the eye of a female professor (Roberts) while bonding with his fellow students.

Bryan Cranston has been cast as Roberts’ husband.

According to Variety, Hanks is directing from a script he co-wrote with Nia Vardalos.

Shooting begins this month in Los Angeles.

Riggle appears on “The Daily Show With Jon Stewart” and will also be seen in Sony’s “The Other Guys” with Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg. Note the date on this article may be incorrect due to importing it from our old system.
