Rihanna named top entertainer at Barbados Music Award

For a second consecutive year, singer Rihanna has claimed the top entertainer award at the Barbados Music Awards.

In addition to the top entertainer award, the R&B singer won best album for ‘A Girl Like Me’ and best song for her massively successful single “Unfaithful.”

Rihanna also took to the stage to close the award show by singing “”Unfaithful” in front of a pack house that included the singer’s mother, and Prime Minister Owen Arthur.

She has seen huge success with the release of ‘A Girl Like Me’ including claiming the best female artist of the year award at the Billboard Music Awards (where she beat fellow R&B divas Mary J. Blige and Beyonce); a best R&B award at the MTV Europe Music Awards; and a best R&B award at the Music of Black Origin Awards in London.
