Review: The Nine Lives of Chloe King is a star maker for Skyler Samuels

Tonight on ABC Family is the premiere of "The Nine Lives of Chloe King," as lead actress Skyler Samuels, 17-years-old actress who has leading lady and breakout star chops.<BR><BR>This series is based on the Liz Braswell young adult novel series, "The Nine Lives of Chloe King" is a perfect summer drama for the young female demo it aims to snare, as Chloe (Samuels) is nearing her 16th birthday. In this series are pals Grace Phipps and Ki Hong Lee, and her mother (Amy Pietz). <P>But the twist is her feline metamorphosis, as she begins her transformation with kitty reflexes, and some mad cat woman skills. Plus, she is being pursued by a villainous sort, but the upshot is, just like a cat, she has more than one life.</P> <P>You will learn about Chloe being born in the Ukraine, and that she is part of the ancient race called the Mai, who apparently advised the pharaohs. </P> <P>"The Order" is after Chloe, the "Uniter" and savior of her ancient Mai people. <BR><BR>With Samuels talents for pulling together the far-fetched but entertaining exotic premise of "The Nine Lives of Chloe King" – ABC Family has turned in another compelling and likable series like there edgy "Pretty Little Liars" that will find an audience, and do very well.<BR><BR>"The Nine Lives of Chloe King" premieres on Tuesday, June 14 at 9 p.m. on ABC Family.</P><IFRAME height=349 src="" frameBorder=0 width=560 allowfullscreen></IFRAME>Note the date on this article may be incorrect due to importing it from our old system.
