It should be a segment on “How Is This Still A Thing” with HBO’s John Oliver, but ABC’s “Dancing With the Stars” fans must be addicted to the Paso Doble and spray tanner because here it comes again.
The season 20 “celebrity” cast was revealed today on “Good Morning America” and the competition features a few names we know but mostly an obscure cast that takes some researching.
See the list of season 20 celebrities and their pro partners per ABC:
Noah Galloway with Sharna Burgess
Robert Herjavec with Kym Johnson
Patti LaBelle with Artem Chigvintsev
Nastia Liukin with Derek Hough
Riker Lynch with Allison Holker
Charlotte McKinney with Keo Motsepe
RedFoo with Emma Slater
Michael Sam with Peta Murgatroyd
Willow Shields with Mark Ballas
Suzanne Somers with Tony Dovolani
Rumer Willis with Valentin Chmerkovskiy
Hormone champion and TV star Suzanne Somers, R&B powerhouse Patti LaBelle, gay football star Michael Sam are among the most recognizable stars getting ready to get their samba on the dance floor.
Derek Hough, who is back this season is also a huge star in his own right. Hough, a five-time mirror ball champ and Emmy-winning choreographer, previously announced his “DWTS” departure to perform in the Radio City Spring Spectacular.
“This all happened literally two days ago,” Hough said live on “GMA” from New York where he will practice with Liukin. “I had a little heartbreak not being able to part of the 20th season. I’m so glad we were able to make it happen. Let’s make it the best season ever.”
“Shark Tank” mogul Robert Herjavec is an interesting addition too. Rumer Willis, Bruce Willis’ daughter, is known for being the muse for famous celebrity bloggers who poke fun at her appearance.
U.S. Army veteran Noah Galloway is an Iraq War veteran lost his left arm above the elbow and left leg above the knee in an IED attack and will bring his inspirational story of overcoming all the odds to the ballroom.
Charlotte McKinney, the model who has strategic fruit covering her ample assets for the racy Carl’s Jr. ad, is part of the mix.
Co-hosts Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews announced 11 celebrities who will be vying for the mirror ball trophy today on “Good Morning America” live from Los Angeles.
Producers reportedly will bring back Disney and Latin theme nights and introduce a new Spring Break special night. Added are all-access cameras in the rehearsal studios, which will be made available on a live stream.
