Rapper Lil’ Wayne could spend a little time in jail for drug bust

23-year-old rapper Lil’ Wayne (whose real name is Dwayne Michael Carter) is free on bond today following a drug possession arrest on Monday in Atlanta.

Lil’ Wayne, a New Orleans native, has released five studio albums since his 1999 debut ‘Tha Block Is Hot.’ His latest release ‘Tha Carter II’ has reached #2 on the record charts since its release in 2005, and is set to be the second of a planned five-part series of “Carter” themed albums – which are said to refer to the film New Jack City.

The rapper saw success with the album’s first single “Fireman.” The third “Carter” album is scheduled for a release sometime this year
