Randy Quaid on the run, arrested in Texas

Bizarre news today as actor Randy Quaid and his wife left a pricey hotel in Santa Barbara without paying their bill, and apparently fled to Marfa, Texas.

The couple were arrested in Texas on a California warrant.

TMZ.com alleges that Quaid and his wife have skipped on hotel bills before, according to their police sources.

The two were found in West Texas after leaving the San Ysidro Inn outside Santa Barbara with their unpaid $10,000 hotel bill.

Quaid and his wife, Evi were taken into custody Thursday afternoon.

A statement from the California agency said it was told by the Presidio County Sheriff’s Department that Evi Quaid was restrained after a “struggle.”

According to TMZ, Santa Barbara County’s sheriff’s spokesman Drew Sugars says the warrant for Quaid and his wife set bail at $20,000 each. The felony warrant is for burglary, defrauding an innkeeper and conspiracy.

Marfa is a remote city in West Texas that has been home to many artists over the years and used as a film location for “Giant,” “There Will be Blood” and “No Country for Old Men.”
