Happy news this morning as little Prince George is expecting a baby brother or sister, and his mother the duchess of Cambridge is reportedly pregnant.
Prince William, 32. and Kate, 32, are expecting second child as the Twitter account @ClarenceHouse announces the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are expecting their second child and CNN reports that royal doctors are treating pregnant Duchess Catherine for Hyperemesis Gravidarum, an acute form of morning sickness which she suffered her first pregnancy too.
Prince George is the third in line to the British throne behind his dad.
“The Queen and members of both families are delighted with the news,” read a statement from Buckingham Palace.
No due date for the baby was given, but the palace said the pregnancy is still in the first trimester. Kate was having such acute morning sickness that she had to cancel a appearance at an event in Oxford scheduled for Monday.
“As with her first pregnancy, The Duchess is suffering from Hyperemesis Gravidarum,” the royal family’s statement said. “The Duchess of Cambridge is being treated by doctors at Kensington Palace,” the couple’s official residence, it said.
British Prime Minister David Cameron used Twitter to share his well wishes: “Many congratulations to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. I’m delighted by the happy news that they’re expecting another baby.”
