According to an article with the AP, the book has jumped to the no. 50 slot for books on Barnes & Noble online. The store has said earlier that it was not willing to carry the book, feeling that there would be no demand for the book.
The article also reports that Borders has agreed to stock the book but a spokeswoman for the store was quoted in the AP article saying they, “will not promote or market the book in any way.”
Interest for the book jumped when Oprah Winfrey announced she would be discussing the issue on her show, the article states. Of course she went with this topic because she knew it would be an easy way to gain ratings.
All of this only reveals what people are really after: money and publicity.
