Imagine “America’s Funniest Home Videos” meets “The Blair Witch Project….”
“Freak Out,” the hilariously scary hidden-camera prank show is back with all-new episodes starting Wednesday, March 25th (8:30 PM -ET/PT).
495 Productions, launched in 2006 in California, is a complete TV production company that births strongly formatted, character-driven reality television shows anchored by powerful personalities who are guaranteed to deliver off-the-wall TV moments.
SallyAnn Salsano is the founder of 495, and she has produced some of the most well known and most watched reality programming in recent history, including “The Show With Vinny” (MTV), “Jerks With Cameras” (MTV), Disaster Date” (MTV), “The Pauly D Project” (MTV), “Repo Games” (Spike), “Fangasm” (Syfy), “Wedding Wars” (VH1), “Taboo USA” (National Geographic Channel), TV Guide’s #1 award-winning “Nail Files,” “Love Handles: Couples in Crisis” (Lifetime), “More To Love,” (FOX), several seasons of HGTV’s #1 rated show “Design Star,” Oxygen’s #1 rated show “Dance Your Ass Off,” “The Big Party Plan-Off” (Style Network), “A Shot At Love” (MTV), “Wedding Island” (TLC) ,”A Shot at Love: 2″ (MTV), “Tool Academy” (VH1), Season 6 of NBC’s “Nashville Star,” “Tanisha Gets Married” (Oxygen), and many others.
In summer 2013 Salsano returned to her daytime roots by serving as an Executive Producer for the new hit talk show “The Real.” The acclaimed show airs in national daytime syndication on Fox Television Stations, with a rebroadcast in primetime on cable network BET.
This made of metal parts woman should market a line of super woman nutraceuticals. Fun facts, Salsano started her career in New York City as an intern for “The Howard Stern Show” and “The Sally Jesse Raphael Show,” eventually spending five years on “Sally” as she worked her way up to the role of producer.
For “Freak Out” during an episode, a mark gets set up by their friends and family in an unexpected and scary situation. It makes us here at M&C think that these poor freaked out people need either new family or better friends! There will be even more over-the-top elaborate setups, stunts, and some truly, truly creepy makeup this go-around!
Here’s a scary “hairy” flashback:
Each episode of “Freak Out” boasts intricate makeup, twisted actors, and multiple cameras capturing the scenario from every angle. Every frighteningly hilarious prank is deviously tailored with help from the victim’s friends and family to turn an everyday situation into someone’s scary moment, until they realize – they’ve been pranked.
This coming season watch for:
- A woman thinks she fries a customer in a tanning booth when the knob accidentally comes off the machine.
- Then, a man decides to woo a woman by hiring a personal chef to cook a romantic dinner for two. Everything is going smoothly-until his wife shows up.
- Finally, a man is hired to help clean a house to get ready to put on the market. He discovers the home was the scene of a horrific crime. Then word comes that the criminals involved have escaped prison-and are on their way back to the home.
“Freak Out” is produced by 495 Productions with Founder and President SallyAnn Salsano serving as Executive Producer, along with Joel Zimmer of 495 Productions. Salsano is Founder and President of 495 Productions and the creative force behind each of the company’s shows.
