Pop Stars Captain & Tennille To Divorce
The couple who defines an easy listening breezy style during the Disco days and beyond, 1970s – 2010s, was discovered by website Rumorfix to be divorcing.
Muskrat Love, Do That To Me One More Time and Love Will Keep Us Together were some of their biggest hits recorded, and the couple seemed in love and happy whenever cameras were on them.
But sad news, after 39 years of marriage and some worrisome health reports about “the Captain,” Daryl Dragon, it looks like the couple are really ending their lifelong partnership.
The Prescott, Arizona City Courthouse told RumorFix that Toni Tennille, whose real name is Cathryn Antoinette Tennille, filed for divorce against Daryl Dragon on January 16.
In 2010 Toni revealed Daryl was suffering from a neurological disorder with symptoms similar to those of Parkinson’s disease.
“Many of you know he is dealing with a neurological condition (not Parkinsons, but something similar) that causes him to have tremors … pretty severe at times … that interfere with his ability to play keyboards,” she wrote on her blog.
“Some days he does pretty well…other days his playing is severely compromised. His condition is exacerbated by any kind of stress, and worrying about his ability to play has made his condition worse.”
