Pop singer Robbie Williams in rehab for drug addiction

Pop singer Robbie Williams has been checked into a United States rehabilitation clinic to get treatment for a prescription drug addiction, according to information from the singer’s agent.
Williams, who is known for his bad boy antics, is one of pop music’s biggest performers. He has enjoyed a successful career as a member of Take That and as a solo artist.
“Robbie Williams has today been admitted into a treatment center in America for his dependency on prescription drugs,” his public relations agent in London said in a press release. “There will be no further comment on this matter.”

British born Williams has a home in Los Angeles. The singer has had problems with drug and alcohol dependency in the past. He checked into a clinic for treatment in 1995 following the break-up of Take That. The singer’s 2006 album ‘Rudebox’ has sold close to a million copies in the United States.
