Peter Boyle remembered in star studded tribute

Peter Boyle’s memorial services at the Frank E Campbell Funeral Chapel included actors Chevy Chase, Alan Alda and Sopranos stars Lorraine Bracco and Steven Van Zandt. Over 250 mourners shared in the celebration the life of actor Peter Boyle in New York on Monday.

Rocker and director Rob Zombie posted an open letter on his website immediately upon hearing the news of Boyle’s passing, citing how much the actor meant to Zombie, and labeled Boyle “a great one.”

The long list of celebrities at Boyle’s service also included the cast of Boyle’s TV sitcom, Everybody Loves Raymond. Also seen were singer Judy Collins, and trumpeter Chris Botti performed at the ceremony.

Boyle died last week after fighting heart disease. He had received seven Emmy nominations for his role as the cranky father, Frank Barone, whose often uttered line “Chips, Marie” is now a classic from the show Raymond, and who won an Emmy for a guest appearance on The X Files.
