Prince Frederik's gay thoughts

Denmark's Crown Prince Frederik was stunned when an Icelandic school pupil asked him if he'd ever had sexual thoughts about another man.

The royal - who was on a trip to Iceland with his wife Crown Princess Mary - eventually managed to laugh when the youngster queried: "Have you ever had homosexual fantasies?"

Frederik - who has previously visited trendy gay clubs - replied: "Probably not. Not that I know."

Meanwhile, Frederik recently revealed he quit smoking because Mary feared it would shorten his life expectancy.

The prince finally kicked his unhealthy habit after Mary told him she wanted to "keep him a little longer".

The father-of-two said: "She applied positive pressure to get me to stop smoking. It was a low-key request, she just said she wanted to keep me a little longer.

"I had to stop gradually. I couldn't just quit all at once."
