Personal shopper Princess Beatrice

Britain's Princess Beatrice is working as a personal shopper during her gap year.

The 19-year-old royal - fifth in line to the throne - is attending to VIP shoppers in London department store Selfridges for the rest of this month.

A Selfridges source revealed: "Beatrice is a natural. Our personal shoppers are popular with wealthy Arabs, celebrities and footballers' wives."

Beatrice reportedly turned up to her first day at work - where she will be doing nine-to-five hours - wearing a black dress, flat shoes and waist belt.

The princess, daughter of Prince Andrew and the Duchess of York, is said to be taking her unpaid duties seriously, with a shopper revealing: "She rushed by with an armful of clothes and headed off towards the Gucci section."

Beatrice is currently on a gap year before starting university, and has recently taken up a role as junior ambassador for Children In Crisis, the charity set up by her mother.
