From Monsters and Critics.com Royal Watch News Britain's Princess Diana's former butler is set to build his own 'palace' in the US. Paul Burrell - who worked for Diana for 10 years until her death in 1997 - wants to create a castle based on the royal residences he has worked at over the years. A source close to Burrell - who now resides in Florida - is quoted by Britain's The Sun newspaper as saying: "He wants to build a large house with features inspired by Buckingham Palace and Kensington Palace. "Paul talked about an imposing entrance, a large hall with a sweeping staircase, a stately dining room and lots of space for his own-brand furniture in his dream home." Burrell - who recently admitted to lying under oath during his testimony at Diana's recent inquest - has looked at the exclusive Sugarloaf Mountain resort, which boasts its own health centre and golf course. He has also viewed another property, which is set in a luxury lakeside community. The 49-year-old has amassed a huge fortune after cashing in on his association with the princess. He has written three books, appeared on several reality TV shows and launched his own furniture range. (C) BANG Media International © Copyright 2007 by monstersandcritics.com.
