Duchess Catherine
Britain's Duchess Catherine braved the snow to volunteer with the Scouts today (22.03.13).
The 31-year-old royal - who is currently expecting her first child with husband Prince William - donned her coat and wellies in the Lake District, North West England, as she and other adult volunteers to help Cub Scouts cook, climb and learn camping survival skills.
Catherine got stuck in and at one point she rolled the dough of flour, water, sugar and oil before twisting it round a stick to make a 'Twist for cooking.
After toasting it on the fire, the brunette beauty tried some and said: 'Oh it's actually not bad. If you were desperately hungry. It's quite sugary.'
Assistant Director of the Scouts Simon Carter said of Catherine's visit: 'We hope the duchess will encourage other volunteers.
'We currently have 35,000 young people across the UK who can't join up because we don't have enough adult volunteer leaders.
'The reason we value the duchess' support is that even though she is very busy she helps out when she can.
'We want to say to people you don't have to come every week, come when you can and we will make a job round you.'
