Prince Charles approves of Cressida
Mar 19, 2013, 16:02 GMT
Britain's Prince Charles has given his seal of approval to Prince Harry's new girlfriend.
The 28-year-old royal recently went public with his romance with Cressida Bonas but he was keen for his dad to meet his new partner so arranged a meeting between them, which went very well.
A source said: 'Harry knew he needed a nod from his dad so people would take them seriously as a couple. He was understandably nervous but asked Charles if they could meet over a 'kitchen supper' - an informal, simple meal. It was the least pressures setting he could think of.
'He (Charles) thought she was bubbly well-mannered and a natural beauty - something he truly appreciates.'
And Charles was so impressed with Cressida, he reportedly invited her to join the family on a ski trip.
The source added to Now magazine: 'Charles made it clear that she had his approval - so much so that he asked if they wanted to join him on his ski trip. Cressie couldn't as she had work commitments in London, but she was thrilled to be asked.
'It's early days but the fact that Harry organised a dinner with Charles so soon is an indicator he's serious. Charles had a good talk with Cressie and thought she was delightful. That's definitely a good sign for the future.'
