Prince Charles
Britain's Prince Charles was given his very own Postman Pat figurine.
The heir to the throne has been presented with his very own model of himself standing alongside the iconic children's TV show character- who is famed for his jovial disposition and loyal black cat Jess - during a visit to Rubicon studios in Amman, Jordan.
The film studio is bringing the animated tale to life in 3D on the big screen later this year in association with Dreamworks.
Admiring artist Mahmoud Hindawi's skills as he drew an electronic picture of the postman, which was then converted into 3D graphics, Charles exclaimed: 'It's brilliant. Have you been doing this since you were quite small? Is it hereditary?'
The 65-year-old royal also got the chance to see a sneak preview of a sequence in which Pat enters a singing competition in order to win money to take his wife on holiday to Italy.
He remarked: 'The complexity is incredible isn't it?'
Randa Ayoubi, the chief executive of Rubicon, told him: 'We are doing this for children all over the world. He is a very authentic character and this is Pat being taken outside the UK and into the world.'
The prince kicked off his tour in Jordan by donning a pair of 3D glasses to be shown technology which is used to train people working with electricity in the workplace in a safe way.
