Duchess of Cambridge slammed by radio host

Duchess of Cambridge
Britain's Duchess of Cambridge has been slammed by radio host Sandi Toksvig.
The Radio 4 presenter claims the 31-year-old royal - who was known as Kate Middleton prior to her and Prince William's nuptials in 2011 - is not worthy of admiration because she represents old-fashioned values of marrying for the sake of social elevation and allegedly doesn't have a 'single opinion' of her own.
She said: 'Kate Middleton is not enough for me. We used to admire women who got their place in life through marriage and having children, but I like to think we've grown up a bit.
'I can't think of a single opinion she holds - it's very Jane Austen.'
The radio host controversially thinks women should take inspiration from Girls Aloud singer Cheryl Cole instead because she is not afraid to speak her mind.
She described the pop princess as 'one of the few incredibly famous people who still seems to say what they think'.
This comes after Man Booker Prize-winning author Hilary Mantel slammed Catherine - who is expecting her first child with William - calling her a 'shop window mannequin' with a 'plastic smile'.
She also compared the modest duchess to historical figure Anne Boleyn and the late Princess Diana, claiming they had more personality than Catherine.
